EXHIBITOR OPPORTUNITIES AT THE 27th PMDA ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM: Friday, October 18, 2109 Dear Colleagues, The Pennsylvania Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (PMDA) is an organization of long-term care professionals committed to the continuous improvement of quality care for Pennsylvanians across the long-term care continuum. We are pleased to invite you to be an exhibitor at the 27th PMDA Annual Symposium on October 18, 2019 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, PA. The goal of the annual symposium is to provide a local forum for professional networking, education, and advocacy among individuals involved in long-term care. Between 130-150 people typically attend. An October17 networking reception sponsorship is an additional option. This typically draws 20-25 people including the PMDA Board members. Because space is limited, participating exhibitors will be able to maximize their exposure to attendees; make critical connections; and build relationships with key, health-care professionals. The attendees for the symposium include physicians, SNF medical directors, nurses, administrators, advanced practice clinicians, and directors of nursing. Exhibit fees are included in the attached Exhibitor Agreement. Table space will be located near the meeting room. Exhibitors are welcome to stay for the duration of the program, although no sales activity may occur in the meeting room of the CME program. Please review the attached Exhibitor Agreement for more information. A signed Exhibitor Agreement must be received by Penn State Continuing Education by the dates shown EVEN IF PAYMENT DOES NOT ACCOMPANY so we may plan accordingly. Exhibit space is limited, and applications will be accepted based on date of receipt. Once a signed Exhibitor Agreement is received, a detailed confirmation letter will be generated, which will include all of the important details needed to plan for the event. • A signed Exhibitor Agreement is due by September 23, 2019. It may be faxed or mailed to the address above. Exhibitors are considered confirmed when the executed Agreement is received by Penn State Continuing Education.
• Should an exhibitor need to cancel out of an event, please contact Penn State Continuing Education by the close of business October 1, 2019 via fax or email. Cancellations by this date are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee. No refund after this date. No-shows and early departures will receive no refund.
• Payment is due in full by October 1, 2019.
• Exhibitors at Penn State educational events are expected to abide by the ACCME's Standards for Commercial Support. Product advertisements or promotional materials are prohibited in the CME meeting, and representatives of commercial interests are not allowed to engage in sales activities in the meeting room.

PURPOSEThe PMDA Annual Symposium is designed to meet the educational needs of the health-care professionals working in post-acute and long-term care (LTC) settings. A strong interdisciplinary approach is emphasized, and organizations are encouraged to attend as a team to experience the most benefit.

Any non-member who submits their PMDA membership application and payment for the 2020 dues by Tuesday, September 17, 2019 will receive free PMDA membership benefits through the balance of 2019! This includes the savings on the Annual Symposium registration fees. You’ll be able to register and attend both the 2019 and 2020 meetings at the member rate.

NURSES USING AMA CREDITNurses will receive a certificate from Penn State College of Medicine verifying their participation in 11 hours of approved continuing medical education. AMERICAN BOARD OF POST-ACUTE AND LONG-TERM CARE MEDICINEThis live activity has been pre-approved by the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (ABPLM) for a total of 6 management hours and 5 clinical hours toward certification as a Certified Medical Director (CMD) in post-acute and long-term care medicine. The CMD program is administered by the ABPLM. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit actually spent on the activity.
PATIENT SAFETY/RISKThis program includes 3.5 hours of patient safety/risk management education as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. Please see the program schedule for the topic marked with a R.
PHARMACOLOGYNurse Practitioners please note: This program includes 1 contact hour of pharmacology education as required for certification renewal by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
