Post-Graduation DataEach year Career Services collects post-graduation data on whether a student is seeking employ-ment, continuing education, or not seeking. This data was collected utilizing several survey meth-ods including, but not limited to, in-class surveys, email campaigns, department exit interviews/surveys and digital research. Data collection starts at the beginning of each academic year and concludes six (6) months following May graduation. The University of Oklahoma graduated 4,437 students in 2018-19. Career Services gathered post-graduation data on 2,795 of the graduates (63% Knowledge Rate*).

Post-Graduation DataGraduate School DestinationsFour hundred ninety-nine students reported graduate school destinations. Two Hundred seventy-four (54.9%) of those graduates moved on to graduate school studies here at the University of Oklaho-ma. There were 35 schools (including OU) that had multiple graduates continuing their education at those institutions (they are listed below with the number of students attending - the remainder of schools with only one student are listed on the following page).

Career Fair Attendance by Major

The College of International Studies had students attend three (3) career fairs. The Fall 2018 Sooner Showcase hosted 159 employers and 1,544 students attended. The 2019 Spring Career Fair hosted 127 employers and 1,238 students attended. The chart below shows the attendance broken down by major. Also, two (2) International Studies students attended the 2018 Engineering Career Fair.

Many students participate in on-campus interviews. There were two (2) on-campus interviews conducted with the College of International Studies students ([1] European Studies and [1] International Security Studies) with two (2) different companies (ISN and Hitachi Consulting).

In addition to on-campus interviews, 617 companies posted 1,330 jobs for College of International Studies majors on the Handshake job board.

Salaries by MajorDue to the low number of responses, Career Services was unable to calculate an accurate average salary for College of International Studies students. The national average for International/Global Studies majors was $44,212, and $40,696 for International Relations/National Security Studies (NACE Salary Survey, Fall 2019).

• Met with CIS students throughout each semester to help with job search, resume writing, interviewing skills, and other career-related issues

• Conducted numerous mock interviews with CIS students to better prepare them for real interviews

• Spoke to 12 classes with 390 students during the first week of each semester to educate students about Career Services

Post-Graduation DataEach year Career Services collects post-graduation data on whether a student is seeking employment, continuing education, or not seeking. This data was collected utilizing several survey methods including, but not limited to, in-class surveys, email campaigns, department exit interviews/surveys and digital research. Data collection starts at the beginning of each academic year and concludes six (6) months follow-ing May graduation. The College of Arts & Sciences graduated 1,660 students with at least one (1) undergraduate degree in 2018-19; however, multiple degrees earned may be reflected in the chart totals. Career Services gathered post-graduation data on 595 of the 1,660 graduates (36% Knowledge Rate*).

Career Fair Attendance by Major

Typically, Engineering students attend the Engineering Career Fair as well as the Spring Career Fair. The Engineering Career Fair is one of the largest career fairs on campus and is mostly geared toward technical majors. The Fall 2018 Engineering Career Fair hosted 139 employers (a 4.3% increase from the previous year) and 1,841 students attended. The 2019 Spring Career Fair hosted 127 employers and 1,238 students attended. The Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering Career Fair attracted four companies and 24 students attended. The chart below shows the attendance broken down by major for the two largest career fairs.

Engineering students also attended the Sooner Showcase (267 Engineering students).

Post-Graduation DataEach year Career Services collects post-graduation data on whether a student is seeking employment, continuing education, or not seeking. This data was collected utilizing several survey methods including, but not limited to, in-class surveys, email campaigns, department exit interviews/surveys and digital re-search. Data collection starts at the beginning of each academic year and concludes six (6) months fol-lowing May graduation. The Gallogly College of Engineering graduated 701 students in 2018-19. Career Services gathered post-graduation data on 518 of the 701 graduates (74% Knowledge Rate*).

Post-Graduation DataEach year Career Services collects post-graduation data on whether a student is seeking employment, continuing education, or not seeking. This data was collected utilizing several survey methods including, but not limited to, in-class surveys, email campaigns, department exit interviews/surveys and digital research. Data collection starts at the beginning of each academic year and concludes six (6) months follow-ing May graduation. The Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication graduated 255 students with at least one (1) undergraduate degree in 2018-19; how-ever, multiple degrees earned may be reflected in the chart totals. Career Services gathered post-graduation data on 133 of the 255 graduates (52% Knowledge Rate*).

Career Fair Attendance by Major

The College of Architecture Career & Internship Fair hosted 35 companies with 103 students attending. Three companies conducted 17 interviews the day after the fair. Architecture students also attended the Sooner Showcase (2), the College of Engineering Career Fair (1) and the Spring Career Fair (9).

The Construction Science Division hosted two career fairs as well. The fall 2018 event attracted 48 employers with 84 students attending, and 84 interviews were conducted by 16 companies. The spring event attracted 40 employers with 64 students attending, and 34 interviews were conducted by 9 companies.

The Sooner Showcase (Fall Career Fair) is one of the largest career fairs on campus and is most-ly geared toward Business students. • Met with Fine Arts students throughout each semester to help with job search, resume writing, interviewing skills, and other career-related issues

• Conducted numerous mock interviews with Fine Arts students to better prepare them for real interviews

• Surveyed all capstone classes, gathering post-graduation information from graduating seniors

• Provided 10 class and/or college-wide presentations on resume writing, inter-view preparation, professional dress, and career-fair tips
