EXECUTIVE LEARNING GROUP
A Program of the Fieldstone Leadership Network
WHAT The Fieldstone Leadership Network is offering the Executive Learning Group - sixone-day seminars held over a six-month period.
WHY This will be an opportunity for you to learn state-of-the-art management models fornonprofits, work with other executives in solving particular problems you are facing,develop a network of resources for future use, and build relationships with a peergroup.
WHEN The seminars will be held from 9:00am to 4:00pm on the third Thursday of each month for six months beginning Thursday, January 16, 2020. Please mark your calendar with the following dates: January 16, February 20, March 19, April 16, May 21, and June 18. Coffee, drinks, and lunch will be provided.
WHERE The group will meet in the Large Conference Room of Fieldstone Leadership Network located at 14 Corporate Plaza, 2nd Floor, Newport Beach, CA 92660.
WHO The Learning Group will be limited to 11 nonprofit Executive Directors/CEOs, selected to give a balance of size and experience. This leader must report to a board of directors. Each will have made a commitment to participate in all six sessions.
The group's facilitator is Laura Spiegel, MSW, who is a nonprofit leadership and organizational development consultant with more than 30 years experience in the field of human services. She has facilitated Fieldstone Leadership Network's executive learning groups since 1999, as well as several nonprofit leaders groups. Concurrently she served as the Executive Director of the First 5 Commission of San Diego for six years and was the CEO of Home Start, Inc. for sixteen years. Laura has extensive experience in nonprofit management, fund development, and leadership development. Laura has also participated in all aspects of the Fieldstone Leadership Network since its inception and is strongly committed to developing mission-focused leadership that maximizes the impacts and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations.
HOW Each fast-moving seminar will be broken down into five sessions: - An opportunity for two members to present a current organization/leadership
problem, which the group will then clarify and work together to develop solutions. - Feedback from two members and a discussion on the usefulness of solutions
worked out at the previous meeting. - A resource-sharing time, the results of which will be compiled in a take-home
resource guide.- A presentation and discussion by the facilitator on a particular management model
or topic requested by the group.- A group evaluation of the effectiveness of the day and how the group can improve
its own usefulness to one another.
COST A nominal cost of $600 per person is required. All other costs associated with the program are underwritten by Fieldstone Leadership Network.

1. The Fieldstone Learning Group is one of peer learning which requires participation from the entire group, therefore, it ismandatory that you attend all six sessions. The sessions are one full day, from 9:00am to 4:00pm on the the thirdThursday of the month. If you are unable to complete any of the sessions below, you will not be able to graduate from theLearning Group or remain in the Fieldstone Leadership Network and your tuition will be forfeited.

2. If your employment status changes while in this program, you may continue in the program as long as you have attended thefirst session and intend to remain in the Social Sector.
3. The work of Fieldstone Leadership Network includes the taking of pictures of our leadership programs and participants andour involvement with the community. As a partner with us and a participant in our various programs you acknowledge thatyour image may appear in our photographs and videos. You agree to give permission to Fieldstone Leadership Network touse these images in our publications and communication vehicles, including our website and social media platforms.
4. There may be sensitive information that is shared in the sessions. In honor of our value of teamwork and trust, all information shared as part of this group is to remain confidential.
