Beginner’s Sections
Fieldstone Equestrian & Show Facility is pleased to offer “Opportunity Classes”. Horses entering Opportunity Classes are exempt from federation, drug and medication, fees. Riders are exempt from federation membership requirements and are not required to pay non-member fees. If rider or horse cross enter into rated/recognized classes, all applicable fees and membership requirements will apply. USEF GR821.

Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rule book. And will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith
CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION:Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular
Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined D riving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or train-er at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions
and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF intro-ductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership
in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. EC 9/21/11 Effective 12/1/11
HORSE SHOW OFFICE:THE OFFICE will be open one (1) hour prior to the show and will close one-half (1/2) hour upon the conclusion of that day’s classes.HORSE SHOW SECRETARY must be notified of any splitting of horse show bills (i.e./tack stalls, tables etc.) by FRIDAY of the horse show week.

STALL AND OFFICE FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLEScratch Class are not refunded after the start of the division/section.
STABLING: Stall fee is $125 per stall. Stalls are limited for the april show first come first served. There will be approximately 75 permanent stalls with Dutch doors and tented stalls with Permanent doors. The Management reserves the right to limit stalls. No stalls will be reserved without receipt of stall fees with entries. The Management recommend s exhibitors bring stall screens. Initial bed ding w ill not be provided. No extension cords allowed ! All electrical cord s must be grounded . No refunds on stalls after the closing date of entries.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: Horses may arrive no earlier than NOON , Wednesday, prior to the Show date, FEED and BEDDING: Order online at www.Showgroundslive.com(Please pre-order prior to arrival): Please call 781-679-0701 And The Horse Show Office will handle all feed and bedding, cash payment or open check is required and No delivery on Sunday. Only shavings or Straw may be used in the stalls.
MEASUREMENT and MEMBERSHIP CARDS: All ponies, junior hunters, and children’s hunter ponies must present measurement cards or will be required to be measured . See Rule HU169. Each entry form must give the owners USEF/USHJA membership number, Proper mailing address, telephone number, and either a Social Security number or employer’s Federal Identification Number. A copy of each owner’s, trainer’s,handler’s and rider’s USEF and USHJA membership cards must be presented tothe Show Secretary before any numbers will be given out.

PRIZE MONEY: Prize Money will be applied to your bill. Any prize money over the amount of the bill will be mailed within 15 days of the close of the competition . Checks will be payable to the owner, unless otherwise stated and will be paid only when the SS# or Federal Tax ID# has been provided to the Horse Show office by completion of the Prize Money Check Request Form and entry blank and will receive an IRS Form 1099.
PROTECTIVE HEAD GEAR: Protective Headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM/SEI standard s for equestrian use and carries an SEI tag must be worn by all riders at all times while mounted on a horse or pony. Head gear must be
properly fitted with the harness secured at all times. (See Rule GR 801)
MEDICAL WASTE:Sharps must be placed in the proper receptacles. Anyone found in violation shall be subject to a fine
or other penalties deemed necessary by show management
MANAGEMENT: The Management reserves the right to cancel, combine, or split any class if entries warrant.
The Management rule is that 4 horses is considered a class is filled. The rules of the USEF require it. The Management also reserves the right to change the order of classes before or during the show , to move classes to another ring, and to decline any entry and to return money owed before or during the
show without being liable for compensation.
All Horses will be charged a $35 Grounds/ Warm-up Fees on the warm-up day
VETERINARIAN : Official Show Veterinarian’s phone number will be posted at the Horse Show Office.
POLING: Poling and / or the use of bamboo pole offsets are prohibited . Any rider or trainer found poling or using offsets and / or who, on the opinion of the judges or committee, uses their whip or spurs in an excessive manner will be immediately eliminated from the class where the incident occurred , be suspended from further showing for a 24 hour period , and will forfeit entry fees for that class. Any horse upon which a violation of the manual poling and / or use of bamboo offset rule is perpetrated will be suspended from competition for a 24 hour period starting from the time of the incident, and will forfeit all entry fees. Further violations by that exhibitor on the same horse or another horse will result in said exhibitor being barred from any further competition at the show .
DOGS: No Dogs or other pets allowed on the grounds unless they are leashed and under control. Unrestrained pets will be impounded and released only upon payment of a $50.00 fine
SCHOOLING: No schooling will be permitted, at any time, in any of the show rings, except during a scheduled warm-up class. Use the Designated Schooling Areas Only. Please do not school or lunge on the
grass!

Declarations: Grand Prix Riders must declare in the Show Office three-hours in advance of the class being held.
Ties: All ties involving first place shall be jumped off. For all other ties, time taken to complete the first round will decide, unless otherwise stated.Time Allowed: Based on a minimum speed of 382 yards per minute. Attire: Formal attire is requested for the Children’s Jumper Classic, Adult Amateur Jumper Classic, Junior/Amateur Owner Low Jumper Classic, Junior/Amateur Owner High Jumper Classic, and required for the Grand Prix. The Management, at its discretion, may allow riders to compete without riding coats. If a riding coat is not worn, riders must wear a shirt with a collar or choker, neatly tucked into riding breeches. A raincoat may be worn if conditions require. In all cases, riders must appear neatly attired. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent(s) legal guardian(s) or individual who signs the entry blank as a minor operating motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting frim that operation Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
