Supreme Commission of Tourism (SCT) was founded in 2000, as body corporate. SCT's purposes and responsibilities are "concerning on tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" to develop, upgrade and enhance tourism sector as well as overcoming growth obstacles, taking into account that tourism is considered an important tributary for national economy. The private sector is undertaking key role into establishing tourism investment facilities. SCT is run by board of directors; its membership includes 11 ministers, in addition to the Secretary General of SCT and representatives from other two ministries, the thing that forms higher representation of public bodies related to tourism industry activities and affairs. The board of directors is also including other seven members who represent social and private sectors. The Cabinet's resolution No. (78) announced the adopted new name of the organization the (Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), confirming that domestic tourism is a 'national reality' and requires public authorities to work for its planning, development, and upgrading based on its unique tourism potentials.

Business Problem / Business Need

• The upgrade software applications are providing many benefits to enterprises, paving the way for virtual anywhere access and facilitating better collaboration with all stakeholders to extend the enterprise’s reach. But more importantly, they are enabling enterprises to design, configure, and administer robust business processes with proactive intelligence for responding to business challenges even faster and more securely than ever before. • Thus considering the above mentioned benefits, the Client wanted to use the latest version of Oracle along with some key features of HR. Hence they decided to upgrade the existing database from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3

• Some of the customizations of HRMS had to be rebuilt in Core HR, thus it was a major challenge.
