Dear Colleagues and Friends, We are delighted to invite you to the 2

nd Verona Expert Meeting that

will be held in Verona on the July 6th and the 7

th. The title of the meeting

will be “Evolving strategies in the management of liver metasta-

ses”, endorsed by IASGO and It-IHPBA.

The management of liver metastases is still evolving and the

multimodality onco-surgical approach is the best approach to

increase long-term results. However, the choices of the best

approach and type integration between different treatments are still

matter of debate.

This meeting will offer a unique opportunity for HPB experts to

discuss controversies and recent improvements of liver metastases

treatment. The meeting will be focused on colorectal liver metasta-

ses treatments but specific sessions will be dedicated to neuroen-

docrine and non-endocrine non-colorectal liver metastases.

On the July 6th, an IASGO and It-IHPBA postgraduate course titled

“Innovative technical aspects in open and minimally invasive

HPB surgery” will take place. This postgraduate will be focused on

new technologies on HPB surgery and their application in open and

minimal invasive surgery.

Verona is an extraordinary city of art with its traces of ancient history

that during this season offers the best opportunity to fully enjoy its

beauty. The congress venue will be the historical Gran Guardia Palace

located nearby the roman Arena, in the downtown.

We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting meeting.

Presidents

Alfredo Guglielmi Calogero Iacono
