DESCRIPTION

This is a little song I made up to teach my children some of the major events in the American colonies that led to the American Revolutionary War. It is sung to the tune of the "Gilligan's Island Theme".

The Stamp Act was repealedBut then the Parliament declaredWe can pass any law we want for youSo colonists bewareYes colonists bewareThe Townshend Act was then imposedMore taxes there would beOn glass, lead, paint, and paperAnd of course a tax on teaThey always taxed the teaSo the colonists agreed together Theyd stop buying British goodsThe boycott would continueTill Parliament did what it should Theyd better do what they should Tensions grew and conflicts With the redcoats now were sureFive colonists died in a skirmish called The Boston MassacreThe Boston Massacre
