Saturday 9 NovemberSee Santa and his real reindeers fly into town! Free12.45–1.15pm: Reindeer ParadeCatch the colourful parade as it winds its way through the town centre. Our annual event is a fun way to welcome the festive season for all the family.Line the streets and see if you can spot…• Santa and his reindeer direct from the North Pole!• Oldham town centre mascots Ollie and Millie in
their first public appearance• Giant toy puppets, the Coliseum’s panto cast and
the Reindeer Rocks youth bandThe fun starts at 12.45pm when the parade sets off from Clegg Street. The reindeer then race up High Street, Lord Street, Albion Street and Henshaw Street before resting outside the Shopping Centre around 30 minutes later.

Elves will be collecting your letters at the reindeer pen outside the Market Hall after the parade!
See Santa open his grotto in the Shopping Centre straight after the parade!
Listen to brass bands and see the best seasonal street theatre. Giant elves, crazy crackers and a roaming Robin will all be spreading Christmas cheer on High Street.
Children’s reindeer puppetry, face painting, craft market and balloon modelling in the Market Hall during the day.
Parking is free for 3 hours at all Council car parks on Saturdays. Or you can stay for 3 hours at the Shopping Centre car parks for £1 on Saturdays.

Head to High Street for a range of festive crafts and gifts. Plus children’s funfair rides and hot food stalls to keep you warm and well fed into the evening.Come and see Bob, Wendy and Spud, who will be making appearances at intervals at the Christmas Market. Catch the gang before they head to the stage for the Christmas Lights Switch-On!The stage is situated next to the War Memorial. The best viewing areas are in front of the Old Town Hall and Clegg Street.
Parking is FREE for 3 hours at all Council car parks on Sundays. Or you can stay for free for 4 hours in the Shopping Centre car parks on Sundays. Car parks are open until 7pm.
