Event Sponsorship Opportunities2013 - 2014
The City of Bunbury produces five major community events throughout the year including a Christmas Carnival, Australia Day Celebrations, Viva Bunbury!, Funtabulous Bunbury Kidsfest and the Shore Lines Writing for Performance Festival.
To provide these free or low-cost events to the
community, the City of Bunbury actively seeks corporate
sponsorship from the local business community.
As a City of Bunbury event sponsor you can achieve
tremendous business exposure and create a highly
desirable brand image among the south west
community.
Sponsorship optionsSponsorship can be undertaken in a variety ways:
• A cash contribution
• An in-kind offer of services (eg: event infrastructure,
catering or printing)
• A donation of prizes for use as incentives for the
community to attend the event
In return for sponsorship, your business receives a
package of agreed benefits that can be tailored to your
individual marketing objectives.
This proposal invites you to support the Bunbury
community and assist in offering residents and visitors a
vibrant, interactive and fun calendar of events.

City of Bunbury Events 2013-14
2013 Christmas Carnival Celebrate the festive season with the Christmas Carnival
and street parade – a colourful event that draws around
5,000 people to Bicentennial Square and the CBD each
December.
Featuring food stalls, children’s entertainment, a street
parade and family concert, the Christmas Carnival offers
a fantastic opportunity to promote your organisation to
a captive audience who is in the mood to celebrate!

2014 Australia Day Celebrations & Fireworks SpectacularThe Australia Day Celebrations & Fireworks Spectacular
attracts over 40,000 people to Bunbury and features the
largest fireworks display outside Perth – and in 2014 the
event will take place on the Sunday of a long weekend,
so we are expecting an even bigger influx of visitors to
our City.
Activities include: the Silver Chain Fundraising Breakfast;
Bunbury Runner’s Club Fun Run; Mayor’s Citizen, Young
Citizen and Community Event of the Year Awards;
markets; sideshow; family concert; Youth Zone; and a
spectacular fireworks display on land, water and the top
of the Bunbury Tower!
If you’re looking for incredible brand exposure and
favourable linkage with the City of Bunbury’s largest
free community event, then Australia Day should be the
event of choice for your valuable sponsorship funds.
Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsorship packages are
available.
2014 Viva Bunbury! Viva Bunbury! takes place during the South West
Autumn Racing Carnival, a week of events built around
the Bunbury Cup. Viva is a free street party featuring
Latin music, dance, food, dance floors, tables and
seating.
We are seeking business partners to help us deliver a
bigger and better event. If your organisation has an
interest in entertainment and culture then this event
could be a perfect fit for your sponsorship objectives.

2014 Bunbury KidsfestWith a range of exciting interactive zones and hands-on
activities for kids aged 2-12, Kidsfest is a unique, must-
see event for local families and provides a fantastic
entertainment opportunity for visitors to the south
west.
Kidsfest offers a variety of support options for local
businesses.
2014 Shore Lines Writing for Performance FestivalThis quirky event starts with a writing competition
in July 2013 and is followed by a series of winter
writing workshops. Entries to the competition close in
December 2013 and the event culminates with a street
festival in July 2014 where pop-up theatres will house
performances of prize-winning works.
There are many opportunities to be part of and support

offered exclusively to one sponsor:

Multi-year sponsorship opportunitiesIf your organisation would like to lock-in the benefits and cost of a multi-year
sponsorship opportunity with a City of Bunbury event, please contact the Events
Officer.
Terms & Conditions• The City of Bunbury reserves the right to
acknowledge the contribution of any organisation that may assist with operational, entertainment or marketing costs.
• All corporate sponsorship packages are issued on a 1-year or a 3-year basis.
• All sponsorship money received will be used to directly support the City of Bunbury’s community events.
• A sponsorship agreement will only be entered into with organisations whose image supports the values and strategic objectives of the City of Bunbury.
• The City of Bunbury reserves the right to cancel any of the events included in this sponsorship proposal. Under such circumstances all sponsorship agreements will be rendered void and any sponsorship money received will be refunded.
• The City of Bunbury reserves the right to alter the sponsorship benefits contained in this sponsorship proposal. Under such circumstances all confirmed sponsors will be advised in writing.
• If a Platinum or Gold sponsor elects to take a promotional site at the event, all materials for the sponsor site are to be provided by the sponsor – only the site space will be provided by the City of Bunbury.
• If a Platinum or Gold sponsor elects to take a promotional site at the event, the sponsor will, in addition to the terms & conditions of sponsorship, be bound by the terms & conditions applied to event market stallholders. A copy of these terms & conditions will be provided by the Events Officer.
• The City of Bunbury takes no responsibility for the
erection and dismantling of sponsor promotional sites or the distribution of any promotional items at any City of Bunbury event.
• The sponsor shall not erect any sign, stand, wall or obstruction, which in the opinion of the City of Bunbury event organisers, interferes with an adjoining sponsor site or other event activity. If in doubt, the sponsor should check with event organisers prior to the commencement of the event.
• The sponsor will not in any way damage any of the walls, floors or ceilings of internal or external venues that form part of the event.
• The City of Bunbury will request sponsor signage to be delivered to the City of Bunbury administration offices at least one week prior to the event. Any signage not received by this time will not be displayed at the event.
• The City of Bunbury will request sponsor signage to be collected from the City of Bunbury administration offices within one week after the event. Any signage not collected within this timeframe cannot be stored and will therefore be destroyed.
• The City of Bunbury will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of any sponsor signage or promotional site materials at the event.
• Full payment of sponsorship money must be received by the City of Bunbury no later than 30 days from the date of the tax invoice for the total amount of sponsorship. Should full payment of the sponsorship amount not be received by this date, the sponsorship agreement will be considered null and void by the City of Bunbury.

• Applications for Principal Partner sponsorship of 2013-14 events close on Friday 30 August 2013
• Applications for sponsorship of the 2013 Christmas Carnival event close on Friday 30 August 2013
• Applications for sponsorship of the 2014 Australia Day event close on Friday 25 October 2013
• Applications for sponsorship of the 2014 Viva Bunbury! event close on Friday 20 December 2013
