Your donation works for aging religious. “I read that roughly 95 percent of donations to the Retirement Fund for Religious aids senior religious,” a donor writes. “That’s wonderful when we truly want our donations to work.” Your gift works for elderly religious by helping to furnish medications, nursing care, and more. Please support next week’s collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious, and give to those who have given a lifetime.

Help our homeless neighbors by donating to Catholic Charities of Central Texas, (512-651-6100, www.ccctx.org), or to our St. Vincent de Paul Society that provides bus passes and vouchers for clothing and food for the homeless. Let’s use organizations we already have to truly help homeless persons rather than enabling them to remain in their present struggles. Please do not give cash to panhandlers after Mass.

event. Donations will be accepted during the concert.

Christmas Flowers Envelopes are available in the pews. Your offerings help defray the cost of flowers and music for the 2016 Christmas liturgies.

Q. Why change the place of the Second Collection during Mass?

A. It is less disruptive to the flow of liturgy to take up the Second Collection immediately after the First Collection, rather to interrupt private prayers of thanksgiving following Communion.

Dear Parishioners, Advent is a time of waiting and of meaningful reflection. Our reflection is

accompanied with gratitude for all we have received this year. Through your prayerful support, the school continues to receive many blessings. I am excited to share some recent accomplishments and a few upcoming events. Enrollment has reached 194 students. Our school has welcomed 43 new students. Please come and meet our new families! I would like to invite each of you to our Annual Christmas Program, “A Candlelight Christmas,” Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 6:00pm, in the Cathedral.

Thanks to your attendance at the Annual Fall Festival, we were able to raise over $24,000. Not only was the Fall Festival a financial success, but the fellowship strengthened our communal bond as one Body of Christ.

We invite those who are considering a Catholic education for their children to the CSSM Open House Sunday, Jan. 22, at 11:00am, in the school library. We are grateful for the blessings of your continued support.
