One of the 7 Excellent Actions addresses fathers directly:

“Fathers, for your child to be healthy, smart, and strong, it’s your job to make surethat baby has special foods added to his porridge.”

An interpersonal counseling tool helps health workers share these 7 Excellent Feeding Actions with families.View counseling tool

With a “child nutrition card” the whole family tracks their progress toward completing the 7 feeding actions.

Families that adopt the actions are awarded certificates, which they post on their doors, serving as models for the community.

Alive & Thrive reinforces community messages through mass media, including radio spots, TV spots, a radio serial drama, a film, and a music video.
