    Title : Essay about myself

I would like to begin this essay with my family background. My family consist of 6 members which is

my parents , 2 sisters , 1 brother and me . Both of my parents work at the International Islamic

University of Malaysia. To be precise, my mom work as a lecturer and my dad work as the deputy

head of science program. We have a beautiful house with a beautiful garden made by my parents. I

can say that I am lucky to have such a lovely family. However, we dont have the chance to gather at

our house frequently for the sake of education. So, when I go back to Malaysia for holiday, I would

like to spend my time as much as I can with them.

Secondly is about my previous education. I did my A level studies at the United Engineer Malaysia

Foundation College. It is one of the top private colleges in my country. I got the chance to study

there because I am sponsored by the Petronas, the oil company in Malaysia. It is always my dream to

be sponsored by them since my secondary school. I took four subjects which are mathematics,

further mathematics, physics and chemistry. Praise to god, I got good grades in all my subjects. In

college, I enjoy teaching some of my friends which I hope I can do it again in Birmingham.

Additionally, I can say that I am an organize person especially when it involve my study. Personal

time table and notes are the most essential things for me to succeed in my study.

Secretary for rugby club is the post where I learnt to develop my leadership skills. I enjoyed playing

rugby although my size does not suit the sport. My greatest achievement in the club was I had the

experience to organize my college rugby open tournament and it was a great success. Besides,

during secondary school, I was selected by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia to join student

exchange program in Japan. I presume it was the greatest 10 days in my life. I got the opportunity to

see their advance technologies in so many areas such as transportation and robotic. In addition, I

had the chance to stay with Japanese family for 4 days and I enjoyed learning their culture. My

hobby are listening to music and watching television.

When I first arrived at University of Birmingham, I hope I can make a lot of friends with international

students as well as the local students. Furthermore, I would like to benefit from my stay in this

university especially from the lecturers. I want to compete with the other students and gain a lot of

experiences in the industries before I return to serve my country. I understand to be a good chemical

engineer, it is not just the theory, but the applications should be emphasized in my study. Last but

not least, I hope University of Birmingham can lead me to the path of becoming a great chemical

    engineer in the future.
