Medina, Althea Mae E.1. Find the volumes of fluid, in cubic cm, in horizontal cylindrical tanks 50 cm in diameter with cylinder lengths of 65 cm with ellipsoidal, guppy, spherical, and standard ASME torispherical (f = 1, k = 0.06) heads, each head extending beyond the ends of the cylinder 18 cm (except torispherical), for fluid depths in the tanks of 15 cm 25 cm 35 cm Calculate four times for each fluid depth for a conical, ellipsoidal, guppy, spherical, and torispherical head.Ellipsoidal + Convex Spherical horizontal cylindrical tankD = 50 cmR = 25 cmL = 65 cma = 18 cmFor h = 15 cm For h = 25 cm D = 50 cmR = 25 cmL = 65 cma = 18 cmFor h = 35 cm

2. Design a horizontal process vessel with one head ellipsoidal and the other convex spherical arc, that will hold 20 m3of a liquid whose level is maintained at 1/3 of the diameter of the cylinder. The ellipsoidal head has a minor axis equal to 1/3 of the major axis. The radius of the spherical head is 1.25 times the cylinder diameter. Cylinder Length is twice the diameter. Hint: The volume of tanks with different heads can be computed by taking the average of the volumes of two tanks with the same heads. A Trial and Error solution may be used in the above bonus problem. (Try an initial estimate based on internet/smart phone apps).Challenge: Find the full volume of the following vertical tank.
