UNDRR Sendai Framework Monitor

▪ GA mandated UNDDR to monitor

the implementation of Sendai

Framework (2015-2030) for

disaster risk reduction

(A/RES/71/276)

▪ SFM developed for UNDDR allows

to monitor the implementation

of the International Strategy

for Disaster Risk Reduction

2015-2030 by all national and

local governments. It relates

directly to SDG’s #1, #3 and #11

UNDRR Sendai Voluntary Commitments

▪ The Sendai Framework Voluntary

Commitments initiative was developed in

response to the General Assembly resolution

(A/RES/68/211) and launched in the lead-up

to the World Conference for Disaster Risk

Reduction (WCDRR) in March 2015 to

support the development of

partnerships at all levels to implement

the Sendai framework.
