Every Monday at Bridge AcademyStudents will have the opportunity during tutor time this week to choose their compulsory Enrichment class on a Monday.
Below is the list of choices on offer for Year 7’sYears 7 – 9
Dance So you think you can dance? Come and join this enrichment and bring along your best dance moves! (previous dance experience needed)
Years 7 - 9
Soul Band We learn and rehearse musical pieces from different genres (e.g. Jazz, Funk, Latin, Soul). We perform in school productions. We also practice general musicianship skills and improvisation. (Only suitable if you have already passed grade 3 on a wind or brass instrument. Compulsory to choose this or Bridge Big Band if you learn a wind or brass instrument at Bridge).

String Ensemble We learn and rehearse musical pieces from different genres.(Only suitable if you already have instrumental lessons on violin, viola, cello or double bass. Compulsory if you already have lessons on a string instrument at Bridge)

Raspberry Pi and Game Making Programme
Raspberry Pi is a computer that plugs into the main larger computer monitor or TV and enables students of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python. In this enrichment, students will learn how to create games using Scratch and Python.

Girls Football Open to girls who want to develop their skills and abilities in football

KS3 Creative Writing Have you ever wanted to write a killer lyric? Do you like telling stories to make your friends laugh? Do you think about crafting the perfect text message for that special someone? If so, then there could a budding creative writer in you just waiting to bloom!
At Creative Writing Club we will experiment with writing songs, poems, blogs, stories and anything else you fancy trying. If you would like to try entering a creative writing competition, we can support you with your entry.

Interactive MathematicsStudents will be able to access online interactive maths programmes to practice their maths skills as well as joining in maths competitions online. The interactive maths programmes including Sumdog, Who Wants To Be Millionaire, Coolmaths, etc.

Boys Football Open to boys who want to develop their skills and abilities in football
Year 7
Bike Club Feel the adrenaline and keep fit! Learn how to ride all kinds of different bikes, including track racing bikes, stunt bikes and BMX bikes, as well as how to repair and improve your own bike (or borrow one from school to fix). You don’t need any of your own equipment, just an interest in bikes and how they work.
