HOW TO CORRECTLY SET THE MOONSTRUCK

Setting the Moonstruck is easy, if a few steps are followed in the right order, to ensure correct indications of both moon phase and tides.

The setting is done by means of the crown and the two pushers 1 and 2 on the left side of the watch case.

A Crown screwed down. Always keep the crown in this position when wearing or storing the watch.

B To wind the movement: unscrew and turn crown clockwise. If the watch has stopped, approx. 30-40 turns are necessary to wind the movement and give it enough power before wearing the watch.

C To set the calendar hand forward or backward: pull the crown into position C. Important : do not use quick corrector between 10:00 pm and 2:00 am; doing so may result in damaging the calendar mechanism.

D To adjust the hour and minute hands: pull the crown into position D. When turning the crown forward or backward, the hour and minute hands as well as the current GMT (by means of the sun disc) are set.

Pusher 1 The hour hand is set forward, in one-hour increments. All other indications will not be affected. Except the date.

Pusher 2 The hour hand is set backward, in one-hour increments. All other indications will not be affected. Except the date.

WIND THE WATCHRegardless on the time span during which the Moonstruck was stopped, the watch can be quickly reset to show the proper time. If the time span was short, the easiest way to re-set it is by turning the crown forward or backward in position D. Before advancing the time in position D, wind the movement by turning the crown clockwise in position B to ensure that the movement has some “energy” to keep the watch working.

SETTING OF MOON PHASE AND GMTTurning the crown in position D forward or backward moves the hour and minute hands, as well as all other indications. To adjust the watch by one day, the hour hand has to make two complete turns (2 x 12 hours) while the sun disc rotates once (1 x 24 hours).

The first step to set the Moonstruck is the adjustment of the moon phase indication in position D: Assuming it is May 21st and the last full moon was on May 18th (this can be checked with a calendar or one of many online resources) an adjustment of three days is required. Pull the crown to position D and turn it until the sun and moon symbols are positioned directly opposite each other, and the moon window is completely filled with the silver / golden color, which depicts the full moon. If turned too far one can easily turn the crown backward, without harming the mechanism of the watch. Then count each further complete revolution of the sun disc, which equals one day and turn the sun disc three times to reach the desired date, May 21st. The moon window should show a small dark blue zone.

The second step is to adjust the current World Time or GMT (Greenwich near London). The correct setting of the GMT is important for an accurate indication of tides and moon phase.

The correct World Time or GMT can be found with the help of online resources. Alternatively, it can be easily calculated when the time zone of your current location is known. The GMT chart printed in the appendix can be of assistance. Example : The diffe-rence between EST (Eastern Time in the USA) and GMT is five hours in the winter and four hours in the summer. If it is 10.15 am in Washington D.C. it is 3.15 pm (15.15) GMT during the winter months and 2.15 pm (14.15) GMT during the summer months.

In position D turn the crown, until the GMT position (London) at the bottom of the dial (the hour marker at the 6 o’clock position) aligns with the correct GMT on the 24-hour indicator on the sun disc. Now you have set the sun disc to show the correct phase of the day. Si-multaneously the minute hand should be set to the correct time.

PLEASE NOTE: The current World Time or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is always in-dicated on the dial’s 6 o’clock position, which corresponds with the small depiction of Europe and the British Isles on the Earth miniature in the center. Consequently, if the sun symbol is at 6 o’clock, the watch indicates noon in Greenwich.

SETTING OF CURRENT LOCAL TIMEThe third step is to set the local time using the two pushers 1 and 2. Please take care for the correct setting of a.m. and p.m. While the hour hand is set in one-hour increments, neither the sun disc (GMT), nor the moon disc move, but the date changes when the hour hand is set past midnight.

The two pushers are also a practical way to adapt the Moonstruck to time zone changes during travels, or when daylight saving time is introduced or ending.

SETTING OF THE CURRENT DATEThe final step is to set the date by pulling the crown to position C and turning the date hand forward or backward (hand with luminous arrowhead) to the correct date. This works forward and backward and no other indications will be affected. Do not make date correc-tions between 10.00 pm and 02.00 am.

PLEASE NOTE: All date changes, that do not affect the positions of Sun and Moon, such as the leap to the 1st of the following month in months with only 30 days, or the date leaps at the end of February, should be adjusted exclusively with this function in position C! Otherwise, the moon phase would move as well and thus introduce an indication error.

PRECISIONPrecision and average daily rate depend on the activity of the person wearing the instrument. Magnetic fields (computers, mobile phones, etc.) may influence the working of a watch. Violent shocks or knocks - quite common in tennis or golf − should be avoided to prevent shaking that may loosen certain parts.

MAINTENANCEAll mechanical watches should have their movements cleaned and the oil replaced every 3-5 years. Le réglage de la Moonstruck est une opération simple dans la mesure où les étapes sui-vantes sont correctement suivies, afin d’assurer la juste indication des phases lunaires et des marées.

Le réglage s’opère à l’aide de la couronne et des boutons-poussoirs 1 et 2 situés sur la gauche du boîtier.

A Couronne vissée. Maintenez la couronne dans cette position lorsque la montre est portée, ou rangée.

B Remontage du mouvement : dévissez la couronne et tour-nez-la dans le sens horaire. Si la montre est arrêtée, 30 à 50 tours seront nécessaires pour remonter le mécanisme et ob-tenir une réserve de marche suffisante.

C Réglage de l’aiguille du calendrier à une date postérieure ou antérieure : tirez la couronne en position C.

Attention : n’utilisez jamais le dispositif de changement rapide entre 22h00 et 2h, afin de ne pas endommager le mécanisme du calendrier.

D Réglage des aiguilles des heures et des minutes : tirez la couronne en position D. Tournez la couronne dans le sens horaire, ou antihoraire, pour régler les heures, les minutes et le temps universel (heure GMT) en cours à l’aide du disque solaire.

REMONTAGE DE LA MONTREQuelle que soit la durée pendant laquelle la montre est restée à l’arrêt, elle peut être rapidement réglée pour indiquer l’heure juste. Si le temps d’arrêt était court, le plus simple est de régler la montre en tournant la couronne dans un sens ou l’autre, en position D. Avant d’avancer l’heure en position D, remontez le mouvement en tournant la couronne dans le sens horaire en position B, afin de garantir qu’il dispose de suffisamment « d’énergie » pour rester en marche.

RÉGLAGE DU FUSEAU HORAIRE GMT ET DES PHASES LUNAIRESLa rotation, dans le sens horaire ou antihoraire, de la couronne en position D permet d’avancer ou de reculer les aiguilles des heures et des minutes, et de régler toutes les autres indications. Pour avancer ou reculer la montre d’une journée, l’aiguille des heures doit effectuer deux tours de cadran complets (2 x 12 heures) alors que le disque solaire n’effectue qu’un tour (1 x 24 heures).

Le premier réglage consiste à déterminer les phases lunaires en position D : suppo-sons que la date est le 21 mai et que la dernière pleine lune date du 18 mai (ce qui peut être vérifié en ligne ou sur un calendrier classique), un réglage de trois jours doit alors être opéré. Tirez la couronne en position D et tournez-la jusqu’à ce que les symboles du soleil et de la lune soit diamétralement opposés. La fenêtre de la lune est alors entièrement remplie d’une vive couleur grise, représentant la pleine lune. Si la rota-tion effectuée est allée trop loin, la couronne peut opérer une rotation arrière sans pour autant endommager le mécanisme de la montre. Comptez ensuite chaque révolution complète du disque solaire, équivalant chacune à un jour, et arrêtez-vous à la troisième révolution pour atteindre la date du 21 mai. La fenêtre de la lune devrait alors afficher une petite zone foncé.

Le deuxième réglage est celui du temps universel ou GMT (Greenwich près de Londres). L’indication exacte des phases lunaires et des marées dépend du réglage du temps universel.

De nombreuses ressources en ligne indiquent le temps universel correct (ou GMT). Vous pouvez aussi facilement calculer le temps universel si vous savez dans quel fu-seau horaire vous vous trouvez. Le tableau GMT disponible en annexe peut égale-ment vous aider. Exemple : entre le fuseau horaire de New-York (EST) et l’heure GMT, il y a une différence de cinq heures en hiver et quatre heures en été. S’il est 10h15 à New York, il est 15h15 (3.15 pm) GMT en hiver, et 14h15 (2.15 pm) GMT en été. En position D, tournez la couronne jusqu’à ce que la ligne de référence en bas du ca-dran (indicateur des heures à 6h) s’aligne sur l’heure GMT correcte sur l’anneau 24 heures du disque solaire. Le disque solaire indique à présent la période correcte de la journée. Simultanément, l’aiguille des minutes devrait être réglée à la bonne heure.

REMARQUE : le temps universel, ou heure GMT, est toujours indiqué sur le cadran à 6 heures, ce qui correspond, sur la représentation de la Terre au centre, à l’Europe et aux Iles Britanniques. De fait, lorsque le symbole du soleil est positionné à 6 heures, il est midi au méridien de Greenwich.

RÉGLAGE DE L’HEURE LOCALELe troisième réglage est celui de l’heure locale à l’aide des boutons-poussoirs 1 et 2. Res-tez vigilant quant aux indications a.m. (première période de la journée) et p.m. (deuxième période). Lorsque l’aiguille des heures se déplace par cran de 1 heure, le disque solaire (GMT) et le disque lunaire ne bougent pas, mais la date change lorsque l’aiguille dépasse minuit.

Ces deux boutons-poussoirs sont très utiles en voyage pour régler la Moonstruck sur un autre fuseau horaire, ou au moment des passages de l’heure d’hiver à l’heure d’été, et inversement.

RÉGLAGE DE LA DATELe dernier réglage est celui de la date, opéré en tirant la couronne en position C, puis en en avançant ou reculant l’aiguille de la date (aiguille terminée d’une flèche lu-mineuse) jusqu’à l’index correspondant au jour en cours. La date peut-être réglée à un jour postérieur ou antérieur sans incidence sur les autres indications. N’effectuez aucune correction de date entre 22h00 et 2h.

REMARQUE : tous les changements de date n’affectent pas la position du soleil et de la lune, tels que le passage au 1er du mois suivant dans un mois de 30 jours, ou le change-ment de date fin février, doivent impérativement être opérés en tirant la couronne en po-sition C ! Dans le cas contraire, la phase lunaire serait également modifiée, et l’indication serait erronée.

PRÉCISIONLa bonne marche et la précision d’une montre dépendent de la personne qui la porte et de son activité. Les champs magnétiques (ordinateurs, téléphones portables, etc.) peuvent influencer sa marche. Les activités, telles que tennis, golf ou toutes autres qui provoqueraient des chocs violents susceptibles de desserrer certaines pièces sont à proscrire.

ENTRETIENPour toutes montres mécaniques, il convient de faire nettoyer et huiler le mouvement tous les 3 à 5 ans. La longévité d’une montre mécanique dépend essentiellement du soin quotidiennement apporté et du respect des recommandations d’entretien. Die Einstellung der Moonstruck ist einfach. Ein paar Schritte sind lediglich in der richtigen Reihenfolge auszuführen, damit sowohl die Mondphase als auch die Gezeiten korrekt angezeigt werden.

Die Einstellung erfolgt durch die Krone und die beiden Drücker 1 und 2 an der linken Seite des Uhrengehäuses.

A Eingeschraubte Krone. Die Krone beim Tragen oder Aufbewahren der Uhr stets in dieser Position belassen.

B Zum Aufziehen des Uhrwerks die Krone losschrauben und im Uhr-zeigersinn drehen. Bei einer stillstehenden Uhr sind ca. 30-40 Umdrehun-gen nötig, um das Uhrwerk aufzuziehen und der Uhr vor einem erneuten Tragen genügend Energie zu geben.

C Zum Vor- oder Zurückstellen des Datumszeigers die Krone bis zur Position C herausziehen.

Wichtig : Schnellkorrektor nicht zwischen 22 Uhr und 2 Uhr benutzen, weil sonst der Kalendermechanismus beschädigt werden kann.

D Zum Verstellen der Stunden- und Minutenzeiger die Krone bis zur Position D herausziehen.

Mit dem Vor- bzw. Zurückdrehen der Krone werden der Stunden- und der Minutenzeiger sowie die aktuelle Uhrzeit (mithilfe der Sonnenscheibe) ein-gestellt.

Drücker 1 Der Stundenzeiger wird stufenweise um je eine Stunde vorgestellt. Sämtliche anderen Anzeigen werden dadurch nicht beeinflusst.

AUFZIEHEN DER UHRUnabhängig davon, wie lange die Moonstruck stillstand, kann die Uhr schnell wieder dazu gebracht werden, die richtige Zeit anzuzeigen. War der Zeitraum kurz, erfolgt die Einstel-lung am Einfachsten durch Vor- oder Zurückdrehen der Krone in Position D. Bevor die Zeit in Position D vorgestellt wird, sollte das Uhrwerk durch Drehen der Krone in Position B im Uhrzeigersinn aufgezogen werden. Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass das Uhrwerk über „Energie“ verfügt, um die Uhr anzutreiben.

EINSTELLEN VON MONDPHASE UND GMTDurch Vor- oder Zurückdrehen der Krone in Position D werden der Stunden- und der Minutenzeiger sowie sämtliche weiteren Anzeigen eingestellt. Um die Uhr um einen Tag zu verstellen, muss der Stundenzeiger zwei ganze Umdrehungen machen (2 x 12 Stunden), während sich die Sonnenscheibe einmal dreht (1 x 24 Stunden).

Zur Regelung der Moonstruck wird in einem ersten Schritt die Mondphase in Position D eingestellt: Wenn das aktuelle Datum der 21. Mai ist und der letzte Vollmond am 18. Mai war (dies kann mithilfe eines Kalender oder einer der zahlreichen Online-Ressourcen geprüft werden), muss die Phase um drei Tage verstellt werden. Hierzu die Krone bis zur Position D herausziehen und solange drehen, bis die Sonnen- und Mondsymbole einan-der genau gegenüber stehen und das Mondfenster als Zeichen für den Vollmond ganz mit der hellen/goldenen Farbe ausgefüllt ist. Wird die Krone zu weit gedreht, kann sie pro-blemlos zurückgedreht werden; der Uhrenmechanismus wird dadurch nicht geschädigt. Anschließend jede weitere ganze Umdrehung der Sonnenscheibe zählen – dies ents-pricht einem Tag – und die Sonnenscheibe dreimal bis zum gewünschten Datum, dem 21. Mai, drehen. Im Mondfenster sollte dann an der rechten Seite eine kleine dunkelblaue Zone erscheinen.

In einem zweiten Schritt wird die aktuelle Weltzeit bzw. GMT (Greenwich bei London) ein-gestellt. Die korrekte GMT-Einstellung ist für eine akkurate Gezeiten- und Mond-phase-nanzeige wichtig.

Die korrekte Weltzeit oder GMT kann mittels Online-Ressourcen geprüft werden. An-sonsten kann sie auch leicht berechnet werden, wenn die Zeitzone Ihres aktuellen Aufenthaltsorts bekannt ist. Die GMT-Tabelle im Anhang kann dabei behilflich sein. Beispiel : Der Unterschied zwischen EST (Eastern Standard Time in den Vereinig-ten Staaten) und GMT beträgt fünf Stunden im Winter und vier Stunden im Sommer. Wenn es in Washington D.C. 10:15 Uhr ist, entspricht dies in den Wintermonaten 15:15 Uhr GMT und in den Sommermonaten 14:15 Uhr GMT.

Die Krone in Position D drehen, bis die korrekte GMT auf der 24-Stunden-Anzeige der Sonnenscheibe an der Bezugslinie unten am Zifferblatt (Stundenmarkierung bei 6 Uhr) ausgerichtet ist. Damit ist die Sonnenscheibe so eingestellt, dass die richtige Phase des Tages angezeigt wird. Gleichzeitig sollte der Minutenzeiger auf die korrekte Zeit eingestellt werden.

BITTE BEACHTEN : Die aktuelle Weltzeit oder Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) wird immer bei 6 Uhr auf dem Zifferblatt angezeigt. Diese Position entspricht der kleinen Abbildung von Europa und den Britischen Inseln auf der Miniaturerde im Zentrum. Wenn das Sonnensymbol also bei 6 Uhr ist, zeigt die Uhr 12 Uhr mittags in Greenwich an.

EINSTELLEN DER AKTUELLEN ORTSZEITDer dritte Schritt besteht darin, die Ortszeit mithilfe der Drücker 1 und 2 einzustellen. Dabei ist auf die korrekte Einstellung von „a.m“ (vor Mittag) und „p.m“ (nach Mittag) zu achten. Während der Stundenzeiger stufenweise um je eine Stunde verstellt wird, bewegen sich weder die Sonnenscheibe (GMT) noch die Mondscheibe. Das Datum ändert sich jedoch, wenn der Stundenzeiger Mitternacht überschreitet.

Mit den beiden Drückern kann die Moonstruck zudem schnell und einfach umgestellt werden, sei es auf Reisen zur Anpassung an andere Zeitzonen oder zu Beginn bzw. Ende der Sommerzeit.

EINSTELLEN DES AKTUELLEN DATUMSIn einem letzten Schritt wird das Datum eingestellt. Dazu wird die Krone bis zur Position C herausgezogen und der Datumszeiger (Zeiger mit leuchtender Pfeilspitze) bis zum korrekten Datum vor- oder zurückgestellt.

Das funktioniert sowohl vorwärts als rückwärts, ohne Einwirkung auf sonstige Anzeigen. Zwischen 22:00 Uhr und 02:00 darf das Datum nicht verstellt werden.

BITTE BEACHTEN : Alle Datumswechsel, die keinen Einfluss auf die Sonnen- oder Mondposition haben, wie die Umstellung auf den ersten Tag des nächsten Monats in Monaten mit nur 30 Tagen oder die Datumssprünge Ende Februar, sollten ausschließlich mit dieser Funktion in Position C ausgeführt werden! Andernfalls bewegt sich die Mond-phase mit und führt damit zu einem Anzeigefehler.

PRÄZISIONDie Präzision und durchschnittliche Tagesleistung hängen von der Aktivität der Person ab, welche das Instrument trägt. Magnetfelder (Computer, Mobiltelefone usw.) können den Lauf der Uhr beeinflussen. Kräftige Schläge und Stöße, wie sie beim Tennis- und Golfs-piel geläufig sind, sollten vermieden werden, um zu verhindern, dass Werkteile durch Schütteln gelockert werden.

WARTUNGBei mechanischen Uhren sollten alle 3 bis 5 Jahre das Uhrwerk gereinigt und das Öl gewechselt werden. Die Lebensdauer eines mechanischen Zeitmessers hängt in erster Linie von der täglichen Pflege und der Durchführung der empfohlenen Wartungsmaßna-hmen ab. Ajustar el Moonstruck es de lo más sencillo. Basta con seguir los pasos indicados en el orden correcto para que el reloj indique la fase lunar y de marea adecuadas.

Para realizar el ajuste se utilizan la corona y los dos pulsadores 1 y 2 situados en la parte izquierda de la caja.

A Corona atornillada. Mantenga siempre la corona en esta posición al llevar o guardar el reloj.

B Para dar cuerda al mecanismo: desatornille la corona y hágala girar en el sentido de la rotación horaria. Si el reloj se ha detenido, para darle al meca-nismo cuerda suficiente sin desgastar el reloj son necesarias 30-40 vuel-tas.

C Para mover hacia delante o hacia atrás la aguja de la fecha : coloque la corona en la posición C.

Importante : no utilice la función de corrección rápida entre las 10:00 y las 14:00 horas, ya que puede dañar el mecanismo del calendario.

D Para ajustar las agujas de la hora y los minutos: coloque la corona en la posición D.

Al hacer girar la corona hacia delante o hacia atrás ajustará las agujas de la hora y los minutos, así como el GMT (mediante el disco solar).

Pulsador 1 Hace girar hacia delante la aguja de las horas en intervalos de una hora. Pulsarlo no afecta al resto de indicaciones. Excepto la fecha.

Pulsador 2 Hace girar hacia atrás la aguja de las horas en intervalos de una hora. Pul-sarlo no afecta al resto de indicaciones. Excepto la fecha.

DAR CUERDA AL RELOJEl reloj Moonstruck se puede ajustar rápidamente para que indique la hora actual inde-pendientemente de la hora en la que se haya detenido. Si el reloj se ha detenido hace poco, el modo más sencillo de ajustarlo es hacer girar la corona hacia delante o hacia atrás en la posición D. Antes de colocar la corona en la posición D, dé cuerda al meca-nismo haciendo girar la corona en el sentido de la rotación horaria mientras se encuentra en posición B a fin de que el mecanismo tenga cuerda suficiente para que el reloj siga funcionando.

AJUSTE DE LA FASE LUNAR Y EL GMTSi hace girar la corona hacia delante o hacia atrás en la posición D desplazará las agujas de la hora y los minutos, así como el resto de indicaciones. Para ajustar el reloj un día entero, la aguja de las horas debe dar dos vueltas enteras (2 x 12 horas) y el disco solar una (1 x 24 horas).

El primer paso para ajustar el reloj Moonstruck es ajustar la indicación de la fase lunar en la posición D. Si, por ejemplo, estamos a 21 de mayo y la última luna llena fue el 18 de mayo (puede consultar un calendario o Internet) debe realizar un ajuste de tres días. Coloque la corona en la posición D y hágala girar hasta que los símbolos del sol y la luna estén colocados directamente el uno frente al otro y la ventanilla de la luna sea toda de color brillante/dorado (luna llena). Si se ha pasado puede hacer girar la corona hacia atrás sin dañar el mecanismo del reloj. Una vez realizada esta operación, cuente las vueltas del disco solar (una vuelta = un día) y hágalo girar tres vueltas para fijar la fecha que desea, a saber, el 21 de mayo. En la parte derecha de la ventanilla de la luna debería haber una pequeña zona de color azul oscuro.

El segundo paso es ajustar el GMT (Tiempo Medio de Greenwich, cerca de Londres). Establecer el GMT correcto es importante para que el reloj indique correctamente las mareas y la fase lunar.

Puede averiguar el GMT correcto consultando en Internet o bien calcularlo a partir de la zona horaria de la que forma parte el lugar donde se encuentra. Para ello, puede utilizar la tabla de GMT del apéndice. Ejemplo: la diferencia entre el EST (Tiempo del Este en los Estados Unidos) y el GMT es de cinco horas en invierno y cuatro horas en verano. Así pues, si son las 10:15 horas en Washington D.C., en la zona GMT serán las 15:15 horas en invierno y las 14:15 horas en verano.

En la posición D, haga girar la corona hasta que la línea de referencia situada en la parte inferior de la esfera (el marcador horario de las seis en punto) se alinee con el GMT cor-recto en el indicador de 24 horas del disco solar. Acaba de ajustar el disco solar para que muestre correctamente la parte del día en que se encuentra. Simultáneamente la aguja de los minutos debe colocarse en la hora adecuada.

ATENCIÓN : el Tiempo Medio de Greenwich o GMT actual se indica siempre en las seis en punto de la esfera, ubicación que corresponde a Europa y las Islas Británicas en la representación de la Tierra situada en el centro del reloj. Por lo tanto, si el símbolo del sol se encuentra en las seis en punto el reloj indica que en Greenwich es mediodía.

AJUSTE DE LA HORA LOCALEl tercer paso es ajustar la hora local utilizando los dos pulsadores 1 y 2. Preste atención a la diferencia entre a.m. y p.m. A diferencia de la aguja de las horas (que se desplaza en intervalos de una hora), ni el disco solar (GMT) ni el de la luna se mueven, sino que para cambiar la fecha hay que desplazar la aguja de las horas más allá de medianoche.

Los dos pulsadores también son un modo práctico de adaptar el reloj a los cambios de zona horaria durante los viajes o bien cuando empieza o finaliza el horario de verano.

AJUSTE DE LA FECHAEl último paso es ajustar la fecha. Para ello, coloque la corona en la posición C y haga girar la aguja de la fecha (la de la punta luminosa) hacia delante o hacia atrás hasta llegar a la fecha que desea. Puede hacer girar la aguja hacia delante o hacia atrás sin que ello afecte al resto de indicaciones. No ajuste la fecha entre las 22:00 horas y las 2:00 horas.

ATENCIÓN : todos los cambios de fecha que no afecten a la posición del sol y la luna (por ejemplo el paso al día 1 del mes siguiente en los meses de 30 días o el cambio de febrero a marzo) deben realizarse con esta función en la posición C. En caso contrario, la indica-ción de la fase lunar cambiará y pasará a ser incorrecta.

PRECISIÓNLa precisión y la marcha diaria media dependen de la actividad del portador del reloj. Los campos magnéticos (ordenadores, teléfonos móviles, etc.) pueden interferir en el funcio-namiento de un reloj. Asimismo, hay que evitar los golpes o choques (muy habituales al jugar al tenis o al golf) a fin de evitar que determinados componentes se aflojen.

MANTENIMIENTOTodos los relojes mecánicos requieren la limpieza de los mecanismos y la sustitución del aceite con una periodicidad de 3-5 años. La regolazione del Moonstruck è facile, a condizione che si seguano le poche fasi della procedura nel giusto ordine, per garantire le corrette indicazioni sia delle fasi lunari, sia delle maree.

La regolazione si effettua per mezzo della corona e dei due pulsanti 1 e 2 sulla sinistra della cassa.

A Corona avvitata. Tenere sempre la corona in questa posizione quando si indossa o si ripone l’orologio.

B Per caricare il movimento : svitare la corona e ruotarla in senso orario. Se l’orologio è fermo, sono necessari circa 30-40 giri per caricare il movimen-to e per fornire energia sufficiente prima di indossare l’orologio.

C Per regolare la lancetta del calendario avanti e indietro : tirare la corona por-tandola in posizione C.

Importante : non usare la correzione rapida tra le ore 22 e le ore 2 al fine di evitare danni al meccanismo del calendario.

D Per regolare le lancette delle ore e dei minuti: tirare la corona portandola in posizione D.

Quando si ruota la corona Avanti o indietro, si impostano le lancette delle ore e dei minuti, nonché l’ora attuale GMT (per mezzo del disco solare).

Pulsante 1 La lancetta delle ore viene portata avanti a incrementi di un’ora. Questo non incide su tutte le altre indicazioni. Salvo la data.

Pulsante 2 La lancetta delle ore viene portata indietro a incrementi di un’ora. Questo non incide su tutte le altre indicazioni. Salvo la data.

CARICA DELL’OROLOGIOA prescindere dal lasso di tempo durante il quale il Moonstruck è rimasto inattivo, l’orologio può essere velocemente regolato, affinché indichi l’ora esatta. Se il lasso di tempo è stato breve, il modo più semplice di regolarlo è ruotare la corona in avanti o indietro nella posizione D. Prima di avanzare alla posizione di regolazione dell’ora D, caricare il movimento ruotando la corona in senso orario in posizione B per fare in modo che il movimento abbia un po’ di “energia” sufficiente a mantenere l’orologio in funzione.

REGOLAZIONE DELLA FASE LUNARE E DELL’ORA GMTLa rotazione della corona in posizione D avanti o indietro fa muovere le lancette delle ore e dei minuti e tutte le altre indicazioni. Per far avanzare l’orologio di un giorno, la lancetta delle ore deve svolgere due giri completi (2 x 12 ore), mentre il disco solare ruota una sola volta (1 x 24 ore).

La prima fase nella regolazione del Moonstruck è la regolazione dell’indicazione della fase lunare in posizione D : prendendo l’esempio del 21 maggio, con l’ultima luna pie-na il 18 maggio (tale informazione può essere controllata su una delle molte risorse disponibili su Internet) è richiesta una regolazione di tre giorni. Tirare la corona portandola in posizione D e ruotarla fino a quando i simboli del sole e della luna sono in posizione direttamente opposta l’uno dall’altro e la finestrella della luna è completamente contrassegnata dal colore luminoso/dorato che contrassegna la luna piena. Se si procede troppo avanti, è possibile ruotare facilmente la corona indietro senza danneggiare il meccanismo dell’orologio. Contare quindi ogni rivoluzione completa del disco solare, equivalente a un giorno, e girare il disco solare tre volte per arrivare alla data desiderata, il 21 maggio. La finestrella della luna dovrebbe mostrare ora una piccola por-zione in blu scuro.

La seconda fase è la regolazione dell’ora attuale o dell’ora GMT (Greenwich, vicino a Lon-dra). La corretta regolazione dell’ora GMT è importante per un’indicazione precisa delle maree e delle fasi lunari.

È possibile trovare l’indicazione dell’ora GMT giusta per mezzo delle indicazioni re-peribili su Internet, altrimenti la si può calcolare facilmente conoscendo il fuso ora-rio del luogo in cui ci si trova. Può essere utile lo schema GMT stampato nell’allegato. Esempio : la differenza tra l’ora EST (negli USA) e l’ora GMT è di cinque ore in inverno e di quattro ore in estate. Se sono le 10,15 a Washington D.C., sono le ore 15.15 GMT nei mesi invernali e le ore 14.15 GMT in quelli estivi. Con la corona in posizione D, ruotarla fino a quando la linea di riferimento in bas-so nel quadrante (il marcatore delle ore, a ore 6) non si allinea con l’ora GMT giusta nell’indicatore delle 24 ore sul disco solare. Ora il disco solare è regolato e mostra la fase del giorno giusta. Contemporaneamente, deve essere regolata la lancetta dei minuti sull’ora giusta.

NOTA BENE : L’ora GMT o Greenwich Mean Time è sempre indicata sul quadrante a ore 6, in corrispondenza della piccola rappresentazione dell’Europa e delle Isole Britanniche sulla miniatura della Terra nel centro. Di conseguenza, se il simbolo del sole è a ore 6, l’orologio indica mezzogiorno a Greenwich.

REGOLAZIONE DELL’ORA LOCALELa terza fase consiste nella regolazione dell’ora locale per mezzo dei due pulsan-ti 1 e 2. Occorre prestare attenzione alla regolazione corretta delle ore antimeridiane e pomeridiane. Mentre la lancetta delle ore si regola per incrementi di un’ora, né il disco solare (GMT), né quello lunare si spostano, ma la data cambia quando la lancetta delle ore è regolata dopo la mezzanotte.

I due pulsanti costituiscono anche un modo pratico di adattare il Moonstruck ai cambiamenti di fuso orario durante i viaggi o quando inizia o termina l’ora legale.

REGOLAZIONE DELLA DATAL’ultima fase consiste nella regolazione della data, tirando la corona e portando-la in posizione C, facendo girare la lancetta delle ore avanti o indietro (lancetta con l’estremità della freccia luminosa) alla data esatta. Essa avviene in avanti o indietro e non incide su altre indicazioni. Non effettuare correzioni della data tra le ore 22 e le ore 2.

NOTA BENE : Tutti i cambiamenti di data che non incidono sulle posizioni del sole e della luna, come il salto al primo giorno del mese seguente per i mesi che hanno solo 30 giorni o il salto di data alla fine di febbraio, devono avvenire esclusivamente con questa funzione nella posizione C! Altrimenti anche la fase lunare si sposterebbe e comporterebbe quindi un’indicazione errata.

PRECISIONELa precisione e lo scarto giornaliero dipendono dall’attività della persona che indossa l’orologio. I campi magnetici (computer, telefoni cellulari, ecc.) possono incidere sul fun-zionamento dell’orologio. Gli urti o i colpi violenti – abbastanza comuni in sport come ten-nis o golf − devono essere evitati per prevenire movimenti che possono allentare certe componenti.

MANUTENZIONETutti gli orologi meccanici devono essere sottoposti a una pulizia del movimen-to e alla sostituzione del lubrificante ogni 3-5 anni. La durata di vita di qualunque orologio meccanico dipenderà soprattutto dalla cura quotidiana e dalla manuten-zione di routine suggerita. Выполнив в указанном порядке следующие несложные инструкции, вы легко настроите показания времени, фаз Луны и приливов.

Для настройки используются заводная головка и две кнопки слева на корпусе часов.

A Когда вы носите часы или не используете их, заводная головка должна быть прижата и завинчена.

B Чтобы завести часы, вывинтите заводную головку и вращайте ее по часовой стрелке. Для пуска и начального завода остановившихся часов достаточно 30-40 оборотов головки.

C Чтобы перевести стрелку календаря вперед или назад, выдвиньте заводную головку в положение C.

Внимание : чтобы не повредить механизм календаря, не выполняйте коррекцию между 22:00 и 2:00.

D Для настройки показаний часов и минут, выдвиньте заводную головку в положение D и вращайте в любую сторону. Одновременно изменя-ются показания мирового времени (вращается диск Солнца).

Кнопка 1 Перевод часовой стрелки на один час вперед без изменения остальных показаний за исключением даты.

ЗАВОД ЧАСОВНезависимо от того, как долго часы Moonstruck стояли, вы сможете быстро настроить их показания. Если часы остановились недавно, проще всего устано-вить точное время, вращая вперед или назад заводную головку в положении D. Но прежде всего заведите часы, вращая вперед заводную головку в положении B.

НАСТРОЙКА ПОКАЗАНИЙ ФАЗЫ ЛУНЫ И МИРОВОГО ВРЕМЕНИПри вращении заводной головки в положении D вперед или назад, перемещаются часовая и минутная стрелки и изменяются все остальные показания часов. Для перевода показаний календаря на один день вперед, часовая стрелка должна сделать два полных оборота (2 x 12 часов), при этом диск Солнца сделает один оборот (1 x 24 часа).

На первом этапе следует настроить показания фазы Луны, вращая заводную головку в положении D. Предположим, сегодня 21 мая, и последнее полнолуние было 18 мая (вы можете найти дату полнолуния в календаре или сети Интернет), таким образом, требуется коррекция в три дня. Выдвиньте заводную головку в положение D и вращайте, пока символы Солнца и Луны не окажутся в точно-сти друг напротив друга, а окошко Луны не будет полностью заполнено ярким (золотым) цветом, что соответствует полной Луне. Вы можете вращать головку в любом направлении без ущерба для механизма часов. Затем переведите диск Солнца на три полных оборота (один оборот соответствует одному дню) : пока-зания будут соответствовать 21 мая, а в правой части окошка Луны покажется небольшой темно-синий участок.

На втором этапе следует настроить показания мирового времени (или среднего гринвичского времени, GMT) без учета переходов на летнее и зимнее время. Правильная настройка мирового времени необходима для правильной индика-ции приливов и отливов, а также фазы Луны.

Текущее мировое время (GMT) можно узнать при помощи сети Интернет. Кроме того, вы можете легко вычислить это время, зная, в каком часовом поясе вы нахо-дитесь. Таблица мирового времени приведена в приложении. Например, разница между североамериканским восточным временем (EST) и мировым временем (GMT) составляет пять часов зимой и четыре часа летом. Когда в Вашингтоне 10:15, мировое время равно 15:15 зимой и 14:15 летом.

Вращайте заводную головку в положении D, пока нужное значение мирового времени на 24-часовой шкале диска Солнца не совместится с нижней риской на циферблате (в положении “6 часов”). Теперь диск Солнца показывает правиль-ное время суток. Одновременно должна быть правильно установлена минутная стрелка.

Внимание : на текущее мировое, или гринвичское время (GMT) всегда указывает нижняя риска на циферблате, а также изображение Европы и Британских остро-вов по центру циферблата. Соответственно, если символ Солнца находится в нижнем положении (“6 часов”), время по Гринвичу – полдень.

УСТАНОВКА МЕСТНОГО ВРЕМЕНИНа третьем этапе следует установить местное время при помощи кнопок 1 и 2. При этом необходимо учесть время суток – до или после полудня. При нажатии на кнопки часовая стрелка перемещается на один час, диски Солнца и Луны остаются неподвижными, а дата меняется при прохождении часовой стрелкой полуночи.

Кнопки также позволяют быстро изменять показания времени при перемещении из одного часового пояса в другой и при переходе на зимнее и летнее время.

УСТАНОВКА ТЕКУЩЕЙ ДАТЫНа последнем этапе следует настроить дату. Выдвиньте заводную головку в поло-жение C и вращайте вперед или назад,

чтобы установить стрелку со светящимся наконечником напротив нужной даты. При переводе этой стрелки другие показания часов не изменяются. Не изменяйте дату между 22:00 и 02:00.

Внимание : коррекцию даты, не требующую перемещения дисков Солнца и Луны, например, установку первого числа месяца, следующего за месяцем, в котором было 30 или 28 дней, следует выполнять только при помощи заводной головки в положении C! В противном случае будут нарушены показания фазы Луны.

ТОЧНОСТЬ ХОДАТочность и среднесуточный ход часов зависят от характера занятий владельца часов. Также, на ход часов могут влиять магнитные поля (от вычислительной техники, мобильных телефонов и т.д.). Во избежание тряски и ослабления крепления некоторых узлов механизма, часы следует оберегать от сильных ударов, например, при игре в теннис или гольф.

ОБСЛУЖИВАНИЕЛюбой часовой механизм требует очистки и замены смазки каждые 3-5 лет. Срок службы механических часов зависит от ежедневного ухода и технического обслуживания.
