From Open root

Without stopping

the water resists the

weight of the sky

***

Every mask

Drowns

at the bottom

of oneself

***

The stones undress

it rains

in the desert

From Rooms

GIRL READING A

LETTER AT AN OPEN

WINDOW

As your cheeks

dye of red colour

the apples of Paradise

brim over with delight

upon the tablecloth waves

From Arrangements

NIGHT SONG

At this instant

you must be opening

the book, or listening to

the creak of firewood

as the fire dances.

But I am mistaken.

At this instant

-as every night-

cantas en la sombra

de una ciudad

que resplandece.

you sing in the shade

of a city

that gleams.
