Introduction: Introduce students to two words such as string and strong and elicit from them any common letters in these words. Development: Tell students that there is a pattern among some words and so they are called word families because they belong to a group. Now write a list of words that belong to different word families. Make a group of four students and give them each a word. These groups will each come up with a list of words that belong to the same word family as the word that they have. After they have done writing words ask them to present it to the class. Once each group has presented they add those words in their wordbooks. Students will then pick two more words from their wordbooks, belonging to the same family, and write a short paragraph using any four words. Reinforcement planIntroduction: Write the prepositions on the board and ask the students about what each means.

Development: Students will each describe about different prepositions written on the board. Students will now construct sentences using these prepositions in their exercise books. Now each student will come up and share their sentences.

Students will carry out their assessment.Development: When the students finish the assessment they will be given a journal page to write on. Ask students about their favorite movie. Different students discuss a scene from their favorite movie. Ask students about their favorite actors.

Written work: Students will now write a journal page Movie Mania.
