Punctuation challenge
In this section there are many punctuation mistakes. It's your job to spot them and fix them!
dinosaurs are a species of animal that are extinct They have been dead for over 65 million years for years, special scientists called paleontologists have been studying dinosaur fossils to find out as much about them as possible they have worked out which beasts were carnivores (eating only other animals) and which were herbivores (eating only plants) Not only did they find out what they liked to eat but what they looked like too
Sentence challenge
It's important to keep your writing interesting and there are a number of ways you can do this. One is to write different types of sentences:
* statement* question* exclamation* command
For example:
* Dinosaurs lived over 65 million years ago and they are now extinct. (S)* How do you escape the jaws of a beastly T-Rex? (Q)* There's a T-Rex about to eat you! (E)* Hide in a tiny space so he can't get you. (C)
Write an example of each of these sentence types.

Have a go at the Telling The Time Game
Leave three happy notes for someone else to
find in your house.
Notes and GuidanceChildren read and draw the times ‘quarter to’ and ‘quarter past’.They use their knowledge of fractions and turns to identifyquarter past and quarter to.Children should recognise that the hour hand moves alongwith the minute hand. Therefore when the time is quarter pastthe hour, the hour hand will be just past the hour and when thetime is quarter to, the hour hand will be just before the hour.
