Winone office for First-year Engineering studentsFirst-year engineering is exciting, but there may be times when you need some extra help or advice. The WINONE office provides first-year students with assistance, counselling, and extra support to help them succeed. We can connect you with faculty, staff, or students who can assist you with academic questions, study strategies, and tutoring help. The University offers a lot, and we’ll help you get to where you need to go! We’ll also emphasize the key things you need to watch for and do to succeed in engineering, and will notify you when important student activities or events take place so that you can take advantage of what our University offers. hands-on Learning ExperiencesAt UWindsor, we focus on providing students with hands-on learning experiences to complement what you learn in the classroom. You’ll have the opportunity to apply theory to real-life situations in a wide variety of labs throughout your university career. In fourth year, students work as teams and with industry partners to design and build projects such as:

• Baja and formula racing vehicles for competition

• Robotics projects

• Structural design competitions

• Renewable energy and environmental initiatives
