Keep laboratory fume hood sashes at a minimum safe working height. Sashes should be no more than 18” open when the hood is in use, and at 6” open when the hood is not in use. Set air conditioning thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, or consider using a fan. Send a document as an e-mail attachment instead of faxing it.
