• Layout of underground structures like powerhouse, desanding basin, waterway tunnel alignment selection, surge tank etc.
• Ground water inflow analysis
• Analysis of underground stress
• Blast design and control
• Assessment of excavation and tunnelling method and tunnel support design
• Tunnel instrumentation and monitoring
2.5 Waterway Optimization
Actually the sizing of waterway (tunnel, steel pipe or canal) is the trade-off between its construction cost and revenue loss resulting from friction & other losses in the waterway. Too large waterway can cause excessive investment and too small waterway can lead to opportunity loss of extra power generation. So based on the cost of construction and revenue loss calculation, EIM team of expert can help you to find the most profitable midway!!
2.6 Project Financing
EIM also assist you to get necessary project financing from financial institution through its team members network in commercial banks and financial institution.
3. Special Services to Financial Institution
Hydropower being capital intensive, the financing in hydropower by Nepalese Banks is relatively new concept through project financing (PF). Since project financing is characterised by limited or no recourse lending, bank and financial institution must be careful in project due diligence. As EIM has very competitive and experience team, EIM can help you protecting your interest regarding project financing in hydropower sector.
