    ECC is a certificate issued by DENR/EnvironmentalManagement Board EMB after a positive review of theECC application. This certifies that based on the

    application of the proponent, the proposed project orundertaking will not cause a significant negativeimpact on the Philippines environment. The ECC'scontain specific measures and conditions that must be

    met by the project proponent before and during theoperation of the project. In some cases, conditions arelisted to be pre-formed during the projectsabandonment phase to lessen identified potentialenvironmental impacts.

    The ECC's also certify that the proponent hascomplied with all the requirements of the

    Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)System and has committed to implement itsapproved Environmental Management Planin the Philippines.

    15 days.
