June 30, 2020 Board of Directors Ventura Regional Sanitation District Ventura, California EMERGENCY ORDER OF SUCCESSION RECOMMENDATION Receive and File the Ventura Regional Sanitation District Order of Succession document. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact to this action. BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS At the June 18, 2020 meeting, the VRSD Board received and filed a presentation regarding the District’s Business Continuity Plan - Staffing document, which was written to address the District’s plans should VRSD experience high absenteeism due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. One comment from the Board was that the District should have an established order of succession document, as well. The Ventura Regional Sanitation District Order of Succession document is attached. This board letter was reviewed by legal counsel as to form.
