Slide 8 Incidents are typically managed at the lowest organizational and jurisdictional level Incident management activities will be initiated and conducted using NIMS principles The Chatham County EOC will be activated to support local government and/or agency response as needed. Slide 9 Intended only within the boundaries of Chatham County Provides site support only, not response activities managed by an Incident Commander Municipal departments maintain response plans that coincide with the EOC Plan. Slide 10 NIMS is a flexible framework of doctrines, concepts, principles, terminology, and organizational processes that is applicable to all hazards and jurisdictions The structure is based on three organizational constructs ICS, MACS, and Public Information. Slide 11 MACS define the operating characteristics, management components, and organizational structure of supporting incident management entities engaged through mutual-aid agreements and other predetermined assistance arrangements. Slide 12 The Incident Command System (ICS) defines the characteristics and structure of incident management throughout the life cycle of an incident.
