Bullyfreenz and Life Education programme

In all situations of our students lives, within and outside of the school setting we aim to ensure our students are safe and have the skills to remain safe. BullyfreeNZ week, must not be for just a week, it must be for everyday all year round. Within the middle and senior classes aspects of the Kia Kaha programme

have been implemented, and next week we have the Life Education programme at our school. Both these programmes cover strategies to support our students when bullying may be present. The Life Education programme will be delivered by the Trust Teacher to the different classes between 23 May—30th May. Each of the following year groups have programmes planned to meet their needs: Year 1-3: Year 0-3: Healthy choices / making good choices Year 4-6: Peer pressure/bullying/self-esteem Year 7-8: How our body uses the food we eat / internet safety

ROAD SAFETY WEEK 16th-20th May. Please be mindful of the safety of our children during drop-off and pick-up times. We are situated

on a very busy road and everyone needs to take responsibility for the safety of our children. Please DO NOT park on yellow lines or impede the view of our young road patrollers. Please DO NOT drive into the carpark, do U-turns in-front of the carpark driveway or park over the driveway. A HCC parking warden is often present during the busy times to regulate driving behaviour.

Congratulations to you all for participating in the school Cross Country event yesterday. This is a photo of our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters - Well done!
