Conference theme: individuality and resilience in learning and educationThis conference is for anyone interested in their own learning and that of others in schools, further and higher education and workplace environments. We are specifically interested in innovative approaches to learning and e-learning; leading learning within organisations; approaches to individualised learning; awareness of motivational and affective dimensions of learning; use of contextualised learning. The major theme of the conference is Individuality and Resilience in Learning and Education. ELSIN 2014 especially welcomes submissions that focus on one of the following key issues:

> vulnerability and resilience e.g. students with mental health problems; students with additional support needs. From a styles perspective areas of focus could include: whether certain styles are more disadvantaged than others in specific contexts; whether style makes learners more or less vulnerable in specific learning and workplace contexts; the relationship between styles and resilience; the interplay between dimensions of self-regulation and styles.

Additional areas of based on research, practice and policy can include:

> innovative approaches to learning

> innovative strategies to support learning

> individuality and learning

> current developments in motivation and styles

> entrepreneurship and styles

Contributions to the conference can be empirical, theoretical/conceptual or practice-oriented, but all should be conceptually, theoretically and methodologically sound. Special attention will be given to the relevance and value of submissions for research about styles and strategies of learning and individual differences in learning. ELSIN particularly welcomes practitioners and PhD students.

This will be a dynamic and interactive conference where you will have numerous opportunities to work with others to share and develop ideas and experience. If you have an idea that you would like to discuss with us please contact Tim Duffy or Carol Evans.
