Sorry not to have had some time together in Singapore and sorry for taking so long to respond to this letter. As you are well aware I am extremely busy with, unfortunately, too many travels. This in turn makes keeping up with my correspondence a nightmare. In actual fact I write this letter on a plane back from Beijing to Europe. I was there to sign a deal with Beijing City to establish a major cycle race next October for the best teams in the world. I didn’t even have time to travel down to Quangszhou as I had to return. I have no doubt you are in Quangszhou and I hope all goes well for you there. Thank you for your compliments regarding the Bicycle Solidarity programme. I would indeed love to include the Philippines in this project. I note your comments on the situation currently in Philippines and I include here some correspondence for you to read at your leisure. The first is a letter I received from the new President of the “dissident” group Dr Juico along with his, very extensive, CV. All very pleasant I must say as instead of trying the Bautista –“I`ll have you hanging from the galleysˆ approach Dr Juico tries the more diplomatic approach. I provide you also with my reply to Dr Juico where you will see that I do note from his CV that he was President of PSC more or less at the same time this now dissident group was set up by Bautista. Interesting ! Anyhow we will keep trying. As you see Tolentino gets a copy of the letter and my reply which, whilst still supporting him, is also asking for re-unification. I assure you I will continue to push for this eventuality.
