Wrote Seraphin and Other Poems in 1838 when her siblings were sent to Jamaica to her with the family’s estates

V. Personal Life Robert Browning wrote Elizabeth a letter telling her that he liked one of her poems.

Started a relationship and it was bitterly opposed by her father.

In 1846, the couple eloped in Florence, Italy.

Gave birth to Robert Wiedeman Barrett Browning.

Later Life In 1860 the Brownings returned to Rome.

Elizabeth sister died, and Elizabeth entered a depression phase.

She died on 29 June 1861 in her husband's arms.
