Dear Parents,
As you have already heard, JPIIA will be hosting Summer School. This is a
great way to keep our students' brains engaged throughout the summer. They
will be offering breakfast and lunch daily (free and reduced applications are
available). The only cost is $5 for the t- shirt that must be worn daily (you
can buy more than one).
HUGE NEWS: JPIIA is getting priority registration. Since we are hosting the
course, you all get to sign up first to guarantee spots. Next Thursday, at
conferences, the other Siena Schools will have the ability to sign up.
See the sign up in the folder today and send in the form with $5 per child.
I hope to see many of our families enroll!
Next week Thursday is conferences. I hope to see you there. The junior high
will also be presenting their Career Projects in Haban Hall. Come and see all
the hard work that has been going on the past few months.
No folder next week due to no school on Thursday and Friday.
Wednesday begins Lent, join us for Ash Wednesday mass at 745 am.

Forward Testing
Beginning March 18th, students in grades 3rd-8th will be taking the Forward Exam, the
State of Wisconsin standardized test. Please ensure your child is well fed, rested and in
school daily from March 18-29. As a reminder, all students will be administered the
test. If you choose to opt your child out of the test, this must be sent to me in writing
or an email to Mrs. Schumacher at [email protected].

Wisconsin Forward Exam - Spring 2019
It is that time again. It is time for schools all over the state of Wisconsin to administer the
Wisconsin Forward Exam. The Wisconsin Forward Exam is designed to provide feedback on how a
student is progressing in relation to the State Academic Standards. All students in Grades 3 - 8 par-
ticipate in assessments in the areas of English Language Arts and Math. Additionally, students in
Grades 4 and 8 participate in assessments in the areas of Science and Social Studies. The Wiscon-
sin Forward Exam is administered online. The testing window at John Paul II Academy begins on
March 18th and will run through March 29th. Make-up testing will occur as needed during the
test window and beyond through May 3rd. During the testing window, please make sure your child
gets a good night’s sleep. Please avoid making appointments during the testing window. Encour-
age your child to do their best!

Community Service Project
Our seventh graders and preschoolers are teaming together to make blankets
for Project Linus. Project Linus is an organization that provides donated blan-
kets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. They
service children in the community that the blankets are donated. Our seventh
graders and preschoolers are in need of fleece for making the blankets. If
you have fleece fabric at home or would like to donate we are in need of 1 1/2
yard pieces (50 or 60” wide). The fleece can be dropped off in the office an-
ytime during the week of February 25. Thank you for your kindness.
