End of life of the lampsAttheendoftheirusefullife,lampsoftencycleon/off.ThePCISballastrecognisesthisconditionandswitchesoffthelamp,afterthreecompleteon/offcyclesandwhilstthesupplyhasbeenunswitched.Completelampswitch-offenableseasyidentificationofadefectivelampintheapplication.Afterachangeofthefaultylampandaninterruptionofthemainssupply(mainsreset)orsendaON-OFFsequencetheballastwillstrikethelamp.Whenthereisnolampincircuitoradefectivelampisconnectedtotheballast,theballastwillswitchoffafterapr.25minutes.
Overtemperature shutdownTheballastsareequippedwithathermalshutdowntoprotectagainstdestruction.AftershutdowntheycanberestoredwithanOFF-ONsequenceviaDALI/DSIorwithamainsreset.
