Children and vulnerable people safety

• This appliance can be used by childrenaged from 8 years and above and per-sons with reduced physical, sensory ormental capabilities or lack of experienceand knowledge if they have been givensupervision or instruction concerning useof the appliance in safe way and under-stand the hazards involved. Children shallnot play with the appliance.

• Keep all packaging away from children.There is the risk of suffocation or physicalinjury.

• Keep children and animals away from theappliance when the door is open or theappliance is in operation. There is the riskof injury or other permanent disability.

• If the appliance has Child lock or Keylock function, use it. It prevents childrenand animals from accidental operation ofthe appliance.

General safety

• Do not change the specifications of thisappliance. There is the risk of injury anddamage to the appliance.

• Do not let the appliance stay unattendedduring operation.

• Switch off the appliance after each use.

Installation

• Only an approved technician can installand connect the appliance. Contact anapproved service centre. This is to pre-vent the risks of structural damage orphysical injury.

• Make sure that the appliance is not dam-aged because of transport. Do not con-nect a damaged appliance. If necessary,contact the supplier.

• Remove all packaging, stickers and lay-ers from the appliance before first use.Do not remove the rating plate. It can in-validate the guarantee.

• Fully obey the laws, ordinances, direc-tives and standards in force in the coun-try where you use the appliance (safetyregulations, recycling regulations, electri-cal or gas safety rules etc.).

• Be careful when you move the appliance.The appliance is heavy. Always use safe-ty gloves. Do not pull the appliance bythe handle.

• Make sure that the appliance is discon-nected from the power supply during theinstallation (if applicable).

• Keep the minimum distances to the otherappliances and units.

• Do not put the appliance on a base.

Electrical connection

• Only an approved electrician can installand connect the appliance. Contact anapproved service centre. This is to pre-

vent the risks of structural damage orphysical injury.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the electrical data on the

rating plate agree with your domesticpower supply.

• Information on the voltage is on the ratingplate.

• You must have the correct isolation devi-ces: line protecting cut-outs, fuses(screw type fuses removed from theholder), earth leakage trips and contac-tors.

• The electrical installation must have anisolation device which lets you discon-nect the appliance from the mains at allpoles. The isolation device must have acontact opening width of minimum 3mm.

• The shock protection parts must be fixedin such a way that they cannot be un-done without tools.

• Always use a correctly installed shock-proof socket.

• When you connect electrical appliancesto mains sockets, do not let cables touchor come near the hot appliance door.

• Do not use multi-way plugs, connectorsand extension cables. There is a risk offire.

• Make sure not to squash or cause dam-age to the mains plug (if applicable) andcable behind the appliance.

• Make sure that the mains connection isaccessible after the installation.

• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnectthe appliance. Always pull the mains plug(if applicable).

• Do not replace or change the mains ca-ble. Contact the service centre.

Use

• Only use the appliance for domesticcooking tasks. Do not use the appliancefor commercial and industrial use. This isto prevent physical injury to persons orprevent damage to property.

• Always monitor the appliance during op-eration.

• Always stay away from the appliancewhen you open the door while the appli-ance is in operation. Hot steam can re-lease. There is a risk of burns.

• Do not use this appliance if it is in contactwith water. Do not operate the appliancewith wet hands.

• Do not use the appliance as a work sur-face or storage surface.

• The cooking surface of the appliance be-comes hot during use. There is a risk ofburns. Do not put metallic objects, for ex-ample cutlery or saucepans lids, on thesurface, as they can become hot.

• The interior of the appliance becomes hotduring use. There is a risk of burns. Usegloves when you insert or remove the ac-cessories or pots.

• Open the door carefully. The use of ingre-dients with alcohol can cause a mixtureof alcohol and air. There is the risk of fire.

• Do not let sparks or open flames comenear the appliance when you open thedoor.

• Do not put flammable products or itemsthat are wet with flammable products,and/or fusible objects (made of plastic oraluminium) in, near or on the appliance.There is a risk of explosion or fire.

• Set the cooking zones to "off" after eachuse.

• Do not use the cooking zones with emptycookware or without cookware

• Do not let cookware boil dry. This cancause damage to the cookware and hobsurface.

• If an object or cookware falls on the hobsurface, the surface can be damaged.

• Do not put hot cookware near to thecontrol panel because the heat cancause a damage to the appliance.

• Be careful when you remove or install theaccessories to prevent damage to theappliance enamel.

• Cookware made of cast iron, cast alumi-nium or with damaged bottoms canscratch the hob surface if you move themon the surface.

• Discoloration of the enamel has no effecton the performance of the appliance.

• To prevent damage or discoloration tothe enamel:– do not put any objects directly on the

appliance floor and do not cover it withaluminium foil;

– do not put hot water directly into theappliance;

– do not keep moist dishes and food inthe appliance after you finish the cook-ing.

• Do not apply pressure on the open door.• Do not put flammable materials in the

compartment below the oven. Keepthere only heat-resistant accessories (ifapplicable).

• Do not cover oven steam outlets. Theyare at the rear side of the top surface (ifapplicable).

• If there is a crack on the surface, discon-nect the power supply. There is a risk ofelectric shock.

• Do not put heat-conducting materials(e.g. thin metal mesh or metal-platedheat conductors) under the cookware.Excessive heat reflection can damage thecooking surface.

• Do not use the appliance during a powercut.

Care and cleaning

• Before maintenance, make sure that theappliance is cold. There is a risk of burns.There is a risk that the glass panels canbreak.

• Keep the appliance clean at all times. Abuild-up of fats or other foodstuff can re-sult in a fire.

• Regular cleaning prevents the surfacematerial from deteriorating.

• For your personal safety and the safety ofyour property, only clean the appliancewith water and soap. Do not use flamma-ble products or products that can causecorrosion.

• Do not clean the appliance with steamcleaners, high-pressure cleaners, sharpobjects, abrasive cleaning agents, abra-sive sponges and stain removers.

• If you use an oven spray, follow the in-structions from the manufacturer. Do not

spray anything on the heating elementsand the thermostat sensor (if applicable).

• Do not clean the glass door with abrasivecleaning agents or metal scraper. Heatresistant surface of the inner glass canbreak and shatter.

• When the door glass panels are dam-aged they become weak and can break.You must replace them. Contact theservice centre.

• Be careful when you remove the doorfrom the appliance. The door is heavy.

• Bulb lamps used in this appliance arespecial lamps selected for household ap-pliances use only. They cannot be usedfor the full or partial illumination of ahousehold room.

• If it becomes necessary to replace thelamp use one of the same power andspecifically designed for household appli-ances only.

• Disconnect the appliance from the powersupply before the replacement of theoven lamp. There is the risk of electricalshock. Cool down the appliance. There isa risk of burns.

Service centre

• Only an approved engineer can repair orwork on the appliance. Contact an ap-proved service centre.

• Use only original spare parts.

Disposal of the appliance

• To prevent the risk of physical injury ordamage:– Disconnect the appliance from the

power supply.– Cut off the mains cable and discard it.– Discard the door catch. This prevents

children or small animals from beingclosed inside of the appliance. There isa risk of suffocation.

BEFORE FIRST USEWarning! Refer to "Safety information"chapter.

Remove all packaging, both inside andoutside the oven, before using the ap-pliance. Do not remove the rating plate.

Caution! To open the oven door,always hold the handle in the centre.

Initial Cleaning

• Remove all parts from the appliance.• Clean the appliance before first use.

Caution! Do not use abrasive cleaningagents! This can damage the surface.Refer to chapter "Care and Cleaning".

Preheating

1. Set function and maximum temper-ature.

2. Run an empty oven for 45 minutes.3. Set function and maximum temper-

ature.4. Run an empty oven for 15 minutes.This is to burn off any residue from the cavi-ty surface. Accessories can become morehot than in normal use. During this period

an odour and smoke can be emitted. Thisis normal. Make sure the airflow is sufficient.

Mechanical Door lock

It prevents children to open the oven door.

Opening the appliance door:1. Pull and hold the door lock.2. Open the door.Do not pull the door lock when closing theappliance door!

Important! Switching off the appliancedoes not cancel the mechanical door lock.

Heat settings

Control knob Function

Double zone switch

1-9 Heat settings(1 = lowest heat setting; 9 = highest heat setting)Half-way settings are available between 1 and 9.

1. Turn the control knob to a necessaryheat setting. The hob control indicatorcomes on.

2. To complete the cooking process, turnthe control knob to the “0” position.

Use the residual heat to decrease ener-gy consumption. Switch off the cook-ing zone for approximately 5-10 mi-nutes before the cooking process iscompleted.

Use of the double zone

Warning! To set double zone on turnthe control knob with the double zoneto the right (do not turn it through thestop position).

1. Turn the control knob to the right to po-sition 9 and on the double zone sym-bol. Then you can feel a small resist-ance.

2. Turn backwards to the necessary set-ting.

3. After cooking turn back to the OFF po-sition.

To use the double zone again after-wards set the larger ring on.

Residual heat indicator

The residual heat indicator comes on whena cooking zone is hot.

Warning! Risk of burns from residualheat!

When a cooking zone operates, ithums for a short time. This is typical ofall ceramic glass cooking zones anddoes not show that the appliance oper-ates incorrectly.

HOB - HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPSCookware

• The bottom of the cookware mustbe as thick and flat as possible.

• Cookware made of enamelled steeland with aluminium or copper bot-toms can cause discoloration onglass ceramic surface.

Energy saving

• If possible, always put the lids on thecookware.

• Put cookware on a cooking zone be-fore you start it.

• Stop the cooking zones before theend of the cooking time to use resid-ual heat.

• The bottom of pans and cookingzones must have the same dimen-sion.

HOB - CARE AND CLEANINGWarning! Refer to "Safety information"chapter.

Important! Risk of burns from residualheat!Let the appliance cool down.

Clean the appliance after each use.Always use cookware with clean bottom.

Scratches or dark stains on the glassceramic have no effect on how the ap-pliance operates.

To remove the dirt:1. – Remove immediately:melted plas-

tic, plastic foil, and food with sugar. Ifnot, the dirt can cause damage tothe appliance. Use a special scraperfor the glass . Put the scraper on theglass surface at an acute angle andmove the blade on the surface .

– Remove after the appliance issufficiently cool:limescale rings ,water rings, fat stains, shiny metallicdiscolorations. Use a special cleaningagent for glass ceramic or stainlesssteel.

2. Clean the appliance with a moist clothand some detergent.

3. At the end rub the appliance drywith a clean cloth.

• Clean the front of the appliance with asoft cloth and a solution of hot water andsome detergent.

• For metal fronts use some detergent forstainless steel.

• Do not use scouring agents and abrasivesponges.

Activating and deactivating theappliance

1. Turn the oven functions control knob toan oven function.

2. Turn the temperature control knob to atemperature.The temperature indicator comes onwhile the temperature in the applianceincreases.

3. To deactivate the appliance, turn theoven functions control knob and thetemperature control knob to the Off po-sition.

Safety thermostat

To prevent dangerous overheating (due toincorrect use of the appliance or defectivecomponents), the oven has a safety ther-mostat, which interrupts the power supply.The oven switches back on again automati-cally, when the temperature drops.

Heats both from the top and bottom element. To bake and roast onone oven level.

Full grillThe full grill element is on. To grill flat food items in large quantities. Tomake toasts. Maximum temperature for this function is 210 °C

Quick heatHeats the grill and bottom element. It takes approximately 10 minutes

to heat the oven to 200ºC.

Slow cook Slow-cook setting, max. 125ºC. Heats top and bottom elements.

Inserting the oven accessories

Put in the slide-in accessories so that thedouble side edges are at the back of theoven and point down to the bottom. Pushthe slide-in accessories between the guide-bars of one of the oven levels.

Inserting the oven shelf and deeproasting pan together

Put the oven shelf on the deep roastingpan. Push the deep roasting pan betweenthe guide-bars of one of the oven levels.

OVEN - HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS• The appliance has four shelf levels. Count

the shelf levels from the bottom of theappliance floor.

• Moisture can condense in the applianceor on the glass doors. This is normal. Al-ways stand back form the appliancewhen you open the appliance door whilecooking. To decrease the condensation,run the appliance for 10 minutes beforecooking.

• Wipe away moisture after every use ofthe appliance.

• Do not put the objects directly on the ap-pliance floor and do not cover the com-ponents with aluminium foil when youcook. This can change the baking resultsand damage the enamel coating.

Baking cakes

• Preheat the oven for approximately 10minutes before baking.

• Do not open the oven door before 3/4 ofthe set cooking time is up.

• If you use two baking trays at the sametime, keep one level empty betweenthem.

Cooking meat and fish

• Do not cook meat with weight below 1kg. Cooking too small quantities makesthe meat too dry.

• Use a dripping pan for very fatty food toprevent the oven from stains that can bepermanent.

• Leave the meat for approximately 15 mi-nutes before carving so that the juicedoes not seep out.

• To prevent too much smoke in the ovenduring roasting, add some water into thedripping pan. To prevent the smoke con-densation, add water each time after itdries up.

Slow cook

When using the heating function "SlowCook" always cook dishes uncov-ered without a lid.

With Slow Cook meat becomes beautifullytender and remains particularly succulent.We recommend this function for tender,

lean pieces of meat and fish. Slow Cook isnot suitable for pot roasts or fatty porkroasts. We recommend 125°C for smallerpieces of meat, e.g. steaks.

Cooking times

Cooking times depend on the type of food,its consistency, and volume.Initially, monitor the performance when youcook. Find the best settings (heat setting,cooking time, etc.) for your cookware, rec-ipes and quantities when you use this appli-ance.

Information on acrylamides

Important! According to the newestscientific knowledge, if you brown food(specially the one which contains starch),

acrylamides can pose a health risk. Thus,we recommend that you cook at the lowesttemperatures and do not brown food toomuch.

• Clean the front of the appliance with asoft cloth with warm water and cleaningagent.

• To clean metal surfaces use a usualcleaning agent

• Clean the oven interior after each use.Thus you can remove dirt more easilyand it does not burn on.

• Clean stubborn dirt with a special ovencleaner.

• Clean all oven accessories (with a softcloth with warm water and cleaningagent) after each use and let them dry.

• If you have nonstick accessories, do notclean them using an aggressive agents,sharp edged objects or dishwasher. Itcan destroy nonstick coating!

Shelf Support Rails

Removing the shelf support rails1. Pull the front of the shelf support rail

away from the side wall.

2. Pull the rear shelf support rail awayfrom the side wall and remove it.

Installing the shelf support railsInstall the shelf support rails in opposite se-quence.

The rounded ends of the shelf supportrails must point to the front!

Oven Ceiling

You can fold down the grill element on theoven ceiling to clean the oven ceiling easily.

Warning! Before you fold down thegrill element switch off the appliance.Make sure that the appliance is cold.There is a risk of burns!

Folding down the heating element1. Unscrew the fastening nut on the grill

element. Use a screwdriver for the firsttime.

2. Gently pull the grill downwards to allowaccess to the oven roof.

3. Clean the oven roof with a suitablecleaner and wipe dry.

4. The oven ceiling is ready to clean.

Installing the heating element1. Gently push up the grill element into

place and firmly screw into place theholding nut.

Important! Install the heating elementcorrectly on the two sides above thesupport on the inner wall of the oven.

Warning! Ensure the holding nut onthe grill element is properly tightenedso that it does not fall down when inuse.

Cleaning the oven door

The oven door has two panels of glass in-stalled one behind the other. To make thecleaning easier remove the oven door andthe internal panel of glass.

Warning! The oven door can close ifyou try to remove the internal panel ofglass when the door is still assembled.

Warning! Make sure that the glasspanels are cool, before you clean theglass door. There is risk that the glassbreaks.

Warning! When the door glass panelsare damaged or have scratches, theglass becomes weak and can break.To prevent this you must replace them.For more instructions, contact yourlocal Service Centre.

Removing the oven door and the glasspanel1. Open the door fully and hold the two

door hinges.

2. Lift and turn the levers on the two hing-es.

3. Close the oven door to the first openingposition (halfway). Then pull forwardand remove it from its seat.

4. Place the door on a stable surface pro-tected by a soft cloth.Use a screwdriver to remove 2 screwsfrom bottom edge of door

5. Use a spatula made of wood or plasticor equivalent to open the inner doorHold the outer door, and push the innerdoor against the top edge of the door

6. Lift the inner door7. Clean inner side of the doorClean the glass panel with water and soap.Dry it carefully.

Warning! Only clean the glass panelwith water and a soap. Abrasivecleaning agents, stain removers andsharp objects (e.g. knives or scrapers)can cause damage to the glass.

Inserting the door and the glass panelWhen the cleaning procedure is completed,insert the oven door. To do so, do thesteps in opposite way.

Stainless steel or aluminium appli-ances:Clean the oven door with a wet spongeonly. Dry it with a soft cloth.

Do not use steel wool, acids or abra-sive materials as they can damage theoven surface. Clean the oven controlpanel with the same precautions

Oven lamp

Warning! Be careful! There is the riskof electrical shock!

Before you change the oven lamp:• Switch off the oven.• Remove the fuses in the fuse box or

switch off the circuit breaker.

Put a cloth on the bottom of the ovenfor protection of the oven light andglass cover.

1. Turn the glass cover anti-clockwise toremove it.

2. Clean the glass cover.3. Replace the oven light bulb with appli-

cable 300°C heat-resistant oven lightbulb.Use the same oven lamp type.

4. Install the glass cover.

Removing the drawer

The drawer below the oven can be re-moved for cleaning.

Removing the drawer1. Pull the drawer out until it stops.

2. Slowly lift the drawer.3. Pull the drawer out fully.Installing the drawerTo install the drawer, do the above steps inthe opposite sequence.

Warning! Do not keep flammableitems (such as cleaning materials,plastic bags, oven gloves, paper or

cleaning sprays) in the drawer. Whenyou use the oven, the drawer canbecome hot. There is a risk of fire.

The cooker is supplied at 898 mm heightand 500 mm depth.To change the height and the depth of thecooker:1. Lay the cooker on one side;2. For plinth depth unscrew the screw A

and loose the screws B on the bracket;

3. Set the required depth;4. Screw in the screws A and B

5. For height, unscrew the screw C (1screw) in the centre rear of the plinthand the side screws D (4 screws);

6. Push the plinth in to the required heightsetting, 923, 898 or 858 mm;

7. Screw in screws C and D.

Important! Use small feet on the bottom ofappliance to set same level of cooker topsurface with other surfaces
