Application: This cable is specifically designed for use in switch, control, relay and instrumentation panels of power switchgear and for purposes such as internal connectors in rectifier equipment, motor starters and controllers.

Conductor: Flexible stranded annealed copper, Class 5, to BS 6360

Insulation: Plasticised PVC for maximum rated voltage between conductor and earth of 600V (r.m.s)

Identification: All cable is marked at intervals with its appropriate classification.

Outer Sheath: High mechanical performance, Reticulated elastomer construction.

Standard: Manufactured and tested to BS 6231 with type CK insulation.

Flammability: The PVC insulation is specifically formulated to meet the vertical flame tests required by BS 6231 and BS 4006 Pt 1, and is recognized as being flame retardant.

Thin wall tubes are made of X-linked polyolefin and they shrink if they are in exposure of over 120°C heat.

Thin wall heat shrinkable tubing (TWU-C) • There are 2 kinds of these tubes with shrink ratio 2:1

1. Commercial grade (TWU-C): for general applications. These tubes are suitable for providing a plastic cover for different applications such as: - Insulation for low voltage terminations and joints. - Coding in automobile manufacturing companies. - Chemical protection against environmental factors. - House hold use - Covering the wires, cable lugs and copper bus bar and using in Switchgears.

CABLE LUGS Cable lug is a device for connecting cable conductors to bus bars or another conductor. To connect

copper conductors to copper bus bars, tin coated copper cable lug is used while in the case of connecting aluminum conductors to aluminum bus bars, tin coated aluminum cable lug should be used.

For the connection of two conductors of various metals such as copper to aluminum bimetallic cable lugs (which are fabricated from two different metals)are used.
