Also add a small screwdriver
EET 109 SESSION #1
Tool box to carry board, tools, etc : Walmart, Kmart, etc…
EET 109 SESSION #1
Resistors Kit: Several resistances standard values Buy ¼ W or ½ W (1/8 W are too small)
Electronics Express: http://www.elexp.com/cmp_2501.htm
Jameco:http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&pa=103165CH&productId=103165
EET 109 SESSION #1
Soldering Iron: There is no need to solder in this course, nor in the majority of courses you will take. Only EET 420 may require soldering
Purchase for your own personal interest
Use a soldering Iron with temperature control and thin tips Do not waste your money on cheaper models. Not versatile enough
Accessories needed: Solder rolls and desoldering braids

Once again, feel free to Ask any questions you may have…
Resistance values by the use of color codes
•3rd band only used in low-tolerance devices
•Normally, 2 bands, multiplier and tolerance
•Nominal value
•Real value will be different (tolerance)
*Resistance interval
