Que es amor?What is love?

• Bíblicamente, encontraremos que el amor implica: sacrificio personal, demostración de afecto hacia los demás.– Podemos deducir que el amor es un sacrificio

• El amor solo puede conocerse a base de las acciones que provoca (1 Jn 3:18, 4:9,10).

• Love can only be known based on the actions that provokes (1 John 3:18, 4:9,10).


• El amor de Dios expresa el profundo y constante amor e interés de un ser perfecto hacia objetos

totalmente indignos de este amor, produciendo o promoviendo en ellos un amor reverente hacia el

dador.• God’s love expresses a profound and constant love

and interest from a perfect being towards objects totally unworthy of this love, producing and

promoting in them a reverent love towards the Giver.


• En otras palabras, el amor que tu das, es el mismo amor que has recibido. El amor que

quisieras dar y que no puedes, es porque no lo recibiste; por lo tanto, no lo tienes.

• In other words, the love that you give, is the same love that you have received. The love

that you would like to give but cant, its because you did not receive it; therefore, you

don’t have it.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• es sufrido/ suffers long.– Resistencia activa a la oposición. Es una conducta. La

resistencia como alternativa para no retroceder durante la adversidad (He. 6:9-15; 10:32-39). La perseverancia es parte de la madurez (Stg. 1:2-4). La paciencia es un don de Dios (Ro 15:5,6; 2 Ts. 3:5).

– An active resistance to opposition. It’s a conduct. An alternative during the adversity (Heb 6:9-15; 10:32-39). Perseverance is part of maturity (James 1:2-4). Patience is a gift from God (Rom. 15:5,6; 2 Thess. 3:5).

obediencia; dispuesto a ser persuadido.– Pleasant, kind; willing to obey; willing to be

persuaded.

oír de la prosperidad de otros. La envidia desea privar a otro de lo que tiene, en tanto que el celo desea poseer lo mismo.

– A feeling of unpleasure produced by being a witness or for hearing of the prosperity of others. Envy desires to prive others of what they have, while jealousy desires to posses the same.

pendencias y que es causa de irritación para otros. Vanagloria.

– Superb that provokes fights and it irritates others.

resultados para lo que habías sido dispuesto. Orgulloso (hombre arrogante malvado y lengua perversa con grandes conocimientos). Arrogante (sensato en su propia opinión).

– To get involve in prohibited things so that you wont reach results for what you have been prepared. Pride (an arrogant man with a perverse tongue with great knowledge). Arrogant (wise in his own opinion).


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• No hace nada indebido(rudeza)/ its not rude– Falta de educación o cortesía. Dificultad para ser

aguantado o realizado.– Lack of education o courtesy. Difficultness in being

tolerated or fulfilled.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• no es egoísta/ its not egocentric– Insistir en sus derechos o demandar precedencia. Aprecio

excesivo que tiene una persona por si misma, y que le hace atender desmedidamente a sus propios intereses, sin preocuparse del de los demás.

– To insist in his rights or to demand precedence. An excessive appreciation that a person has for itself and that it makes him/her be attended with out boundaries for its own interests, with out getting worried about others.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• no se irrita/ it is not irritate– Respuesta emocional (enojo repentino, indignación,

furia, amargura, dolor) frente a la percepción de lo incorrecto y lo injusto. Es una actitud mas liberada.

– An emotional response (a sudden angriness, indignation, fury, bitterness, pain) towards the perception of what’s incorrect or unjust. It’s a more liberal attitude.

resentment– Resentimiento arraigado y

persistente.– A rooted and persistent

resentfulness.

the unjust– No ser recto.– Not upright.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• Se goza de la verdad/ enjoys the truth.– La realidad que se encuentra en base de la

apariencia; la esencia manifiesta y veraz de algo.– The reality that is found based on the appearance;

the truth and manifested essence of something.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• todo lo sufre (disculpa)/ it forgives– Perdonar las faltas que otro comete o justificarlas. Dar

razones que descarguen de una culpa o un obligación.– To pardon the faults

that others commit or to justify them. To give reasons that discharge the guilt or an obligation.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• todo lo cree/ it believes– Estar firme, aguantar, ser fiel, ser veraz, aferrarse,

tener fe. Ser persuadido de, por ello fiarse de.– Be firm, with stand, be faithful, be truthful, to

cling, have faith. Be persuaded of and by that be confided.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• todo lo espera/ it is hopeful– Una expectativa confiada y

guiada en las promesas de Dios en base a lo que el ya a hecho por nosotros en el pasado.

– A trusted and guided expectancy in God’s promises based on what He has already done for us in the past.


• 1 Corintios 13:4-7/ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7• todo lo soporta/ it endures– Mantener arriba. Primeramente proteger o preservar

cubierto, significa por ello mantener alejado algo que amenaza, levantar, soportar. La idea de sustentar aquello que es puesto encima es prominente.

– Maintain above. The first thing is to protect or to preserve covered, by that, it means to maintain away what is threatening, to stand against, to arise before, and by that, with stand, support. The idea to sustain that which is placed on top and prominent.


• Toda demostración de amor que no surja de una relación con Dios, no es amor genuino (1

Co. 13), sino el afecto meramente natural.• Any demonstration of love that does no emerge from a relationship with God, is not

genuine love (1 Cor. 13), but merely a natural affection.


• A medida que mas conoces el amor de Dios, mas te amaras a ti mismo, y entre mas te

ames a ti mismo, mas amaras a tu prójimo (Jn 15:12,13; Ro 13:8-10).

• The more we know God’s love, the more we will love our selves, and the more we love our selves, the more we love our neighbor (John

15:12,13; Rom. 13:8-10).


• Las imitaciones no son validad (1 Co 13:1-3).• Imitations are not valid (1 Cor. 13:1-3).

• Solo darás lo que has recibido.• You will only give what you have received.
