Eigo Jisshu a – Vocabulary List
This is a vocabulary list for students studying Eigo Jisshu a. The words and phrases in this vocabulary list have been taken from your textbook (Impact Conversation 1). Please use this list to help with your vocabulary study, and preparation for the vocabulary exams. You can also access this list from the Eigo Jisshu Homepage: www.shimonoseki-cu.ac.jp/eigojisshu. Below are some ideas for how you can effectively use this list:
Look up the pronunciation of the words in your dictionary and write it
here.
Check what kind of word or phrase it is (e.g. noun, verb, adjective, phrasal
verb, etc) and write it here.
Look up the Japanese definition or an English definition in your dictionary
and write it here.
Think of your own original example sentences and write them here.
Find other words in the textbook or think of other words that you want to remember and add them to the list. Sometimes these words have more
than one possible meaning. Look for additional meanings in your dictionary.
When you have remembered the word,
tick the box.
