    Egg Donation procedure

    Egg donation is one of the implementations to be done in the process for surrogacy. The usualmedical cycle for Egg Donation is about 4 to 6 weeks. Generally it is that the doctor from any IV!linic" India will #rst ha$e the recipient and the egg donor %here lets consider a !aucasian eggdonor& to take a round of birth control pills so as to synchroni'e their menstrual cycles. (ftersynchroni'ation the recipient cycle will begin a few days after that of the !aucasian egg donor. It

    would take appro)imately *+, weeks after that" the recipient medical cycle goes in two directionsi.e." one for the egg donors" and the other is for the recipient. Then the donor will begin takinghormones which would help suppress her natural o$ulation and in-ections so as to increase herfollicle stimulation. !ommonly it happens that a successful retrie$al would result in anywhere from/+*/ eggs. The retrie$al procedure is generally a half hour outpatient procedure. In this whathappens is that the donor recei$es a light anesthetic and the eggs are thereby retrie$ed through acareful ultrasound+guided needle. (fter the egg retrie$al procedure the donor will be re0uired to restfor the remaining day and if re0uired e$en the following day. This could take as long as two weeksfor the donor to feel completely normal the time period may $ary and it can also take as little as aday.

This is typically done without general anesthesia" and only takes a fewminutes. 2ou will most likely be re0uired to ha$e bed rest for one to three days following yourtransfer and then must follow your doctors instructions carefully.
