this stop the Germans from traveling?
❖ Spanish government is considering to allow non-anonymous egg donation.
Will this really happen? On the other hand, liberalization of oocyte recipient
age is under consideration.
❖ Italian Constitutional Court removed the prohibition on gamete donation in
Italy in April 2014. Has Italy joined the group of the most popular destinations
in Europe?
❖ Serbian government has adopted a new law regulating fertility treatment in
March 2017, however, there are still no specific regulations.

❖ Greek IVF market is growing very fast and has almost forgotten about the
crisis. Liberalization of oocyte recipient age is under consideration.
❖ Turkish government pushes Turkish Republic of North Cyprus to ban egg
donation. Will this really happen?

market?
❖ Poland has not changed the government after election in October 2019. Will
the Parliament change the ART law?

which covered more than 90% of international egg donation cycles (2014).
• Approximately 73% egg donation cycles in 2014 was performed abroad.
• The real number of cross-border egg donation treatments might be much higher
than shown in the EIM Report and reached even 35,515 (2014).
• The average number of egg donation cycles per 1 million European inhabitants
was 9 in 2000 and increased up to 75 in 2014.
• Egg donation CAGR is 16.7% (2000-2014).
• The number of egg donation travelers in Europe in 2020 may reach 142,537
(market value ~1 billion EUR).
