Will you complete graduation, post-graduation or doctorate?

Sanjay Rath, PVR Rao, Sarabjit Poddar and their school of astrology/ SriJagganath group has

done many research based innovations in astrology, interpolating between and extrapolatingbeyond the classical rules.

The Higher Framework by god and mans finer details as Khoo Hock aptly called the

phenomenon these are the guys who have filled in a lot of finer details..

Sometimes in their criticism one feels they over-complicate things with too much focus on

higher divisional charts, alternative Lagnas and Karaks at the cost of ignoring the simple

classical ground rules. However their spirit of experimentation and innovation has left

astrology a lot richer.so we shouldnt complain too much.

Visti Larsen is from the same group.a Danish astrologer.. has written quite a bit about

Siddhamsa, the D-24 in his blogs, group- discussion on how to determine whether one willcomplete his primary education, graduation, post-graduation or doctoral.

Using his rules and interspersing it with my 2 cents (based on classical rules) here is a simple

set of rules to examine how high ones academic career will go:

Its not fool-proofbut works often enough to be looked at seriously:

    1. Siddhamsa D-24 is the main divisional chart for examining a native's academics

    2. 4th house denotes primary education, 9th house graduation, 2nd house post-graduation and

7th house doctoral ( pHD) in the Siddhamsa.

    3. If the 4th house is related to 9th house, the person moves from primary to graduation.

    4. If the 9th house is related to the 2nd house, the person moves from graduation to post-

    graduation.

    5. If the 2nd house is related to 7th house, the person moves from post-graduation to doctorate

    6. Related means here at-least ones lord in the other. plus the normal association

( conjunction, mutual aspect, mutual Kendra)

    7. If the nodes afflict any of these houses or their lordsthe education doesnt continue

beyond. However Jupiters aspect can help overcome the affliction

    8. Further we must not ignore the D1 and examine the 4th and 9th houses for education and

higher education in the Rasi chart with similar affliction and relationship rules. Strong Jup in

rasi...will always, always support education. This is my 2-cents part based on simple classical

    understanding.

Two more things come to mind on this subject in continuation with the

    above:

    1) D-24 not fool-proof as it is much more sensitive to TOB inaccuracies.

Hence I find the methodology more usable in conjunction with the

D1...unlike the standalone like Larsen propogates.

    2) Computers and softwares have tremendously evolved the experimentally

verified techniques in using higher divisional charts.....something that the

generation of astrologers like B.V Raman did not benefit from
