Building Flexibility 3 4 There are small group areas designed into the hallways. In addition, some of the Support Services are offered in small group rooms. Title is in a full sized classroom. There is no LGI available. The Project Room is used for Art so there is no dedicated “makerspace” available. There are display strips in hallways for student work.

Classrooms 3 4 Classrooms are adequately sized with small cubbies available for student storage. Each classroom has windows, sink and toilet. Each classroom haws a SMART Board, but they are mounted too high for the smaller children. Rooms do not have audio enhancement systems. There are some acoustical issues in Kindergarten rooms

Special Education 3 4 There is a Learning Lab for Special Education with appropriate equipment.

There is also a Group Presentation Rooms that is tiered and can be used for presentations, but it will not fit a full grade level. There are 8 sections per grade. The building is on several different levels as wings have been added.

Classrooms 2 4 Classrooms are adequately sized with small cubbies available for student storage. There are not enough restrooms throughout the building. Rooms do not have audio enhancement systems. There are some acoustical issues due to the unit ventilators.

Art & Music 3/1 8 Band is small and choir is held in a regular sized room. Neither has good acoustics .There is no true performance space. The stage in the gym is not large enough for presentations. There is no drama program offered at the Middle School

Health & PE 2 4 The gym is adequate. There is a stage, but it is not used. The gym is not air conditioned. The facility lacks storage. Bleachers are movable. Locker rooms are small.

Building Flexibility 2 4 There are currently 935 students in the building and next semester will most likely exceed 950. There are no extra spaces available to provide flexibility for small group of large group opportunities. There is no space available for independent or collaborative learning other than the “lobby area” space around the 4 new English classrooms. Hallways are crowded and the some students have to share lockers.

Classrooms 2 4 Some classrooms are small. The four newer classrooms re good sized with flexible space outside the rooms. Storage is limited in classrooms and there are consistent complaints about the temperature. Some classrooms still have blackboards. Unit ventilators create acoustical issues. There are no sound amplification systems in the classrooms.

Special Education 2 4 There is a Learning Lab for Special Education with appropriate equipment.

Library/Media 2 4 Media Center is small. ENL is offered in a small space off of the media center. There is little space available for multiple seating options, group study or collaborative projects

Labs/Practical Applications 3 4 PLTW is in old Industrial Tech space. Family and consumer Science is dated and equipment is old. The “living room” is used for storage. Science Labs provide lecture and labs in each classroom.

Art & Music & Drama 3/2 8 Art is in an old Industrial Tech space, adjacent to PLTW. Band and choir are in the same room. Storage is limited. The auditorium is small for the population. There is a very strong drama program and the space does not fully support the program.

Health & PE 2 4 There are 2 gyms. The newer gym has some leaks. The older gym is not air conditioned. Locker room air is stale and showers don’t work. Weight room is small.

Pick up and Drop off 3 4 Elementary dismisses first which helps make the process smoother. There are only about 25 high school pick-ups after 3, but buses are very crowded.

Building Flexibility 3 4 There are adequate classrooms spaces and some small group/tutoring spaces in the front area of the building. There is no area for collaboration/project space. There is a group presentation room (LGI) that is heavily used The high school tends to have it scheduled much more than the elementary. It does not have a great deal of storage space.

Classrooms 3 4 Classrooms are adequately sized. Kindergartens have small toilets and sinks.

Special Education 3 4 Right now space is adequate, but that may change as staff is added when students are no longer sent to the co-op

Building Flexibility 2 4 There are a number of shared facilities in the building and because spaces like the library, cafeteria and group presentation must be scheduled between both buildings, the flexibility is limited. There are 4 levels in the building and accessibility can be an issue. There are noise issues in the 6th grade wing.

Classrooms 3 4 Some classrooms are small, but they are generally adequate. Some rooms have power issues. Kindergarten and 1st grade have small bathrooms in them.

Special Education 2 4 He partitions for small groups in Special Education Rooms are difficult to use. The co-op is dissolving next year and additional space will be needed for Special Education, OT/PT is held in a classroom
