CAMPS Animal Camp Jamaica (www.Animal-
CampJamaica.com) at Seven Palms Villa
Runaway Bay, Jamaica is for ages 14 to18.
The 13-day program focused on marine bi-
ology and site seeing. Spend mornings in
the ocean snorkeling, kayaking and wave
jumping. Afternoons explore this breath-
taking Caribbean Island; including four
water falls and Dolphin Cove. PADI Scuba
certifcation available.
Arts in Motion is a unique dance school
where dance technique, artistry and com-
munity come together. They work tireless-
ly to create a fun, safe, genuinely support-

The College School offers themed daycamps for ages 4 to 11 and a variety of
multi-day outdoor expeditions for ages 9 to
15, led by experienced teachers. Two-week
Adventure Day Camp sessions run June to
July, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through
Friday, and include feld trips, recreation-
al swimming and swim lessons (for ages 4
to 7). During the July 4 week, the school
will host a 4-day Red, White and Blue
Camp (ages 4 to 11). Before and after

Cub Creek Science Camp (www.MOScienceCamp.com) is a sleep-away
camp in Rolla, MO (less than 2 hours from
St. Louis) for ages 7 to 17. Feed monkeys,
pet kangaroos, take classes in veterinary
medicine, animal care, survival skills,
crime science, zip-line, pottery, archery,
culinary science, swimming and crafts.

Camp Invention is where big ideas be-come the next big thing. Local educators
lead a week of hands-on activities for chil-
dren entering grades 1 to 6 who will in-
vestigate circuits, disassemble household
appliances and have a chance to examine
science and technology concepts during

by Jaime Mowers A woman and two children died in
a house re Wednesday night, Feb. 4,
in University City.The victims have been identied
as Mamie Williams, 78, and two ofher great-grandchildren, 6-year-oldKaliyah Dunger and her 4-year-oldbrother Trevion Dunger.
The victims were pulled from thesecond story of the burning home in
the 1000 block of Roth Avenue afterthe re broke out about 10 p.m.,
University City Assistant Fire ChiefDavid Crismon said.
Four others in the home includingWilliams’ daughter, Wanda Williams-Clopton, Clopton’s two adult sons anda 10-year-old girl escaped safely fromthe re. Clopton owned the home.
The cause of the re, still under
investigation, is believed to havestemmed from a space heater,Crismon said.
There were no smoke detectors inthe home. Fire department ofcials
stressed the importance of smokedetectors.
“We’ll supply them, install them,change the batteries – whatever youneed (for free). We’ve done this foryears – it is one of our main serviceswe provide to the public,” Crismonsaid.
Friends and relatives of thevictims placed balloons, teddy bearsand other stuffed animals on thefront porch of the home in memory oftheir loved ones.
