Editing Progress
What I have done in the previous screenshot
• In the previous shot, using the import tool, I imported all of my video files and the music files.
• The first thing I did was put the song at the start of the time-line. Then I inserted the establishing shot. I added a fade, zoom and using a media generator tool I added rain to the shot to symbolise and signify water.
• I then placed other footage on the time-line and aligned it with the correct audio to get natural mouth movement.
What I have done in the previous Screenshot
• In the previous screenshot I have edited the second chorus. Using the place tool I have placed all of my clips in the correct order on the time-line.
• Using the split tool followed by the delete tool I have selected the correct individual part of the footage and aligned this up with the audio.
What I have done in the previous screenshot
• I have edited the final fifty seconds of the song, using the same split, delete and place tools to try and make it in time with the lyrics.
• I have finished on a reverse of the first shot to give the music video a condensed closed feel and to allow the other locations to appear more metaphysical and metatextual.
What I have done in the previous screenshot
• In the previous screenshot I have began editing the river scene.
• I again have used the split, place and delete tool. I have also applied a sharpen filter to the shots that appear blurry to try and make them appear more sharp.
• I have also added a black and white filter as well as a brightness and contrast filter to the entire time-line track. This has created a more depressing mood from the shots.
What I have done in the previous screenshots
• Using the same tools and filters I have used so far, I have finished editing the video by editing the woods scene.
• I am in the process of rendering a draft copy to do final checks that everything is in time with the music and in the right order. This will allow me to see what a finished product will look like and allows me to correct basic errors.
