What to expect when visiting the relaxed performance of Melody and Sam: Record Breakers at the Edinburgh Science Festival.

Melody and Sam: Record Breakers is a science theatre production at the Edinburgh Science Festival. The relaxed performance is on Saturday 13 April at 1.30pm. The performance follows two friends as they try and break a world record.

The theatre is at the venue Pleasance. The outside of the venue looks like this.

The performance is in the Quaker Studio, in the back corner of the courtyard. The red circle is where the Quaker Studio is.

This is Ben and Alice. They are the actors playing the Melody and Sam characters. They will introduce themselves to the audience.

There will be props, like a giant book and a plate.

We’ll open up 15 minutes early if you’d like to come in and get settled.

We will have a breakout room available in the venue should you need to use it. This will be a quiet space with low sensory stimulation.

There will be a Mobiloo Changing Places toilet in the Pleasance courtyard. It looks like this.

There are also sensory backpacks and tote bags to borrow. These have a stress ball, water bottle, fidget spinner, ear defenders/ear plugs and chewable jewellery in them.
