Vulcan Business Development Society is seeking tofill the position of EDO.VBDS is a regional Economic Development Organizationserving the Town of Vulcan, Vulcan County, and the Villages ofCarmangay, Champion, Lomond, Milo and Arrowwood.Located between Calgary and Lethbridge, the area is knownfor its recreational opportunities and is focusing on technologyapplication, green energy and education.We are looking for an individual who can continue to move thecommunity in this direction. The successful applicant wouldbe responsible for;• Identifying and promoting new business and/or industrialopportunities.

• Preparing and disseminating information regarding theavailability of land, buildings and other facilities conduciveto the promotion of business and industrial development.

• Building partnerships and participating in regionaleconomic planning activities.

• Acting as a facilitator and coordinator of interactionbetween government, business and industry.

• Publishing information and promotional material as wellas acting as the spokesperson to the media for economicdevelopment activities.

VBDS operates out of a modern, technologically advancedfacility.
