Germany’s economy is the largest in Europe, the fourth largest inthe world on a nominal GDP basis, and ranks third in total globalexports.

Germany excels in many global industries, such as automotive,machinery, electrical and precision engineering, chemicals,technology and software. German companies are among the world’sleaders in alternative energy research, development, manufacturingand project delivery, particularly in the wind turbine and solarpower sectors. In addition to being home to many large, multi-national firms,Germany's industry growth is also driven by 3 million small andmedium sized enterprises (SMEs). As in any country, employment opportunities in Germany dependupon prevailing business trends and the macroeconomic situation.German companies have, however, placed an increased emphasison hiring highly trained and qualified employees who can workeither in Germany or as employees of German firms in their homecountries. German companies work closely with academic institutionsto provide internship and employment opportunities to qualifiedstudents. As an international graduate with a degree from a Germanuniversity, job opportunities on the German market are available toyou. If you are not a German citizen but wish to work in Germany, youmay prepare yourself for this possibility while you are a student,which includes studying the German language.

Non-EU students are permitted to work part-time for up to 120 daysa year in Germany while studying at a recognized German university.Following graduation, students are permitted to stay in Germany forup to 18 months and work up to 120 days while seeking employmentcommensurate with their studies.

Qualification for admissions

To be considered qualified for admission to the MBA programme, wewill normally expect you to:

• Hold a degree equivalent to a Bachelor’s or higher• Demonstrate fluency in spoken and written English, typically

gained from prior studies / work experience• Have a minimum of three years of work experience (five years for

the Accelerated Track)• Demonstrate an above-average level of motivation and the ability

to contribute actively to the programme
