eBoard Elections The nominees are… How to Vote Javier Tovar for Treasurer “Bank on me, and I’ll treasure your vote.” Javier is an upcoming Senior who has a passion for service in whatever his community needs. He says ‘yes’ without hesitation because it’s an opportunity for him to do something he loves and give back to his community. His areas of strength include interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with handling budgets and large sums of money. Sam Murphy for President “Strength through unity, unity through faith.” Sam is an upcoming Senior whose desire is to strengthen the body of Christ on campus. He wants a position that causes him to rely on God more, because it will cause him to draw closer to God and His will. It is his hope that some glory for Christ can be obtained by his role in eBoard. His areas of strength include interpersonal skills, leading teams of people, verbal communication, attention to detail, and self-awareness with the ability to learn from mistakes. Molly Bean for Secretary “Molly Bean for secretary...You know it was meant to BEAN!” Molly is an upcoming Junior who has felt a calling to take greater steps into the Chi Alpha community, as part of her faith journey. She feels that taking a role on eBoard will offer her a chance to become more involved in Chi Alpha, and deepen her commitment to the community. Her areas of strength include organization, experience serving as a secretary for a club in high school, and serving on the eBoard for her rugby team here at AU.   • Paul Jeffries for Vice President

    I live to lead like Luke (22:26) -- to lead like a servant.

    Paul is an upcoming Junior who understands the challenges that come along with starting life at a new school in a new place. He found his family in Chi Alpha and grew spiritually as a direct result of being involved, and he wants others to experience the same. He is constantly seeking to be more active in the community and serve in any way he can. His areas of strength include organization, attention to detail, a passion for service, familiarity with the inter-workings of AU Clubs System and Student Activities, and a drive to strengthen Chi Alpha and share the liberating love of Jesus on campus.!

    Steph Large for Vice President

    Dedicated to service and community.

    Steph is an upcoming Junior who is the current Vice President and shes had a wonderful experience. She really loves playing a more active role in the community through planning events. She loves serving and helping in any way and wants to give back to the community that has given so much to her. Her areas of strength include organization, dedication, being helpful and hardworking, having experience in this role, and having a passion for planning meaningful events that have an impact and are also fun.

    Molly Gormley for Vice President

    Facilitating community for His glory.

    Molly is an upcoming Sophomore for whom Chi Alpha has been fundamental in her growth. She wants to plant herself deeper in this community while helping it thrive. Chi Alpha is important to her, and she can't think of a better way to give back and serve God than by providing her time and efforts through eBoard. Her areas of strength include working in a group towards common spiritual and administrative goals, diligence, patience, communication skills, and leadership skills from her time serving as drum major of her high school marching band and editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper.

    !When you vote, youll need to share your AU ID (as it is only open to current AU students enrolled full-time), but you will not have to share your name or other personal information. There will also be a question that asks, "Are you part of Chi Alpha's Student Club and its activities?" You'll simply need to answer YES in order for your vote to count. But you don't have to be part of every event or thing we do to consider yourself part of the student club, as membership isn't formal.

    Note: If there is only one candidate per position, according to our constitution, we will still ask people to cast a vote (YES or NO) in order to arm that candidate into eBoard leadership.
