The long hot days of summer will soon be a distant memory. It sure has been a hot dry one

this year. The entire world seems to be tired and ready for some rest. The activities here at

the church have been furious as well. With mission projects, VBS and other things summer

is a full season. School will be back in session in the next few days and life will take on a

different hum. Routines will be established and life will settle in to more of a routine. There

are some upcoming things that we will need to get prepared for soon. One is Friend day.

Friend Day this year, as it has been in previous years will be early in September. September

the 9nd is the date this year. Begin to make plans to bring a couple or three friend with you.

This is a great time to introduce your friends to our church. We know that we need to constantly be busy with

this type of thing but friend day takes the pressure off of them because there will be a lot of visitors. I would

love to see us have 250 in Sunday School that day. How, if we all bring a friend we will double with will put

us over 300 so 250 are within easy reach.

We will have the lunch afterwards so they will not need to rush home and cook but can sit back and enjoy the

wonderful, friendly people of East Union.

One more thing before I go. We will begin on September the 16th during Discipleship Training time at 5:00 a

Lifestyle Evangelism and Relational Discipleship Process called MORE LIFE. Make plan to join us so we can

share our faith with our friends and neighbors. Looking forward to seeing you there…

Dear EUBC Friends:

Welcome new babies:

Marley Wilson - Daughter of Beau and Christina

Wilson

Annabelle Holloman - Daughter of Benjamin and

Lauren Holloman

Caroline Bridger - Daughter of Chris and Jenni-

fer Bridger

It's hard to believe summer is almost over and

school is starting back so soon!!!

Our preschooler's are geared up for a new school

year too. This month they will begin by getting ac-

quainted with their new friends, learning new rules

and how truly special they are.

There is a lot of training that goes into the life of

each preschooler. Sometimes that training can be

interpreted from the child as "I can never do any-

thing right," or "Their's is better than mine." It is

important that all children understand that God

has made them for a purpose and loves them just

as they are.

Bible Story: Children Come to Jesus

Memory Verse: Let the little children come to me.

- Mark 10:14

Please pray for our young families and children!!!

With Love,

Ms Sandra

Summer is quickly coming to a close. Hope every-

one has had a memorable break. Our 2012-2013

Awana year is already upon us. Parents and lead-

ers, here are some dates to keep in mind. August

7th will be our first meeting before Awana begins.

We will meet in the youth room at 7:00 p.m.. Yes,

you may bring your children. Without them we

would have no Awana Clubs. August 12 in the fel-

lowship hall immediately following the morning ser-

vice, we will be having a spaghetti lunch and baked

goodies to help fund our Awana Clubs. This will be

discussed at our August 7th meeting. August

26th, Registration begins. If everything stays on

track we will begin Club meetings on Sept. 16. We

need help in the following areas: Trek director,

Co-director(s) with Pearce Jones during game

time, More listeners, Missions coordinator.

Please seek out God's direction on helping in these

areas. Looking forward to another great year

learning God's word together.

Jimmy & Doris Price.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
