I think in most of our lives that is an untrue statement. We try to cram a lot of living in the so called “lazy days”. Sometimes it is more daze than days. Summer is a busy time in the life of the church as well. with camps, mission projects, VBS and other events. It takes a lot of energy to be engaged in the summer activities with our children such as camping, fishing, skiing and other things. Summer is a great time to get to know your neighbors. During most of the year you have to get past the front door to make a visit to invite someone to church. In the summer, you will find them in the yard or other outdoor places more than any other time of the year. It is a natural event for neighbors to chat in the yard by the mail box. All of us need to seek opportunities to engage our neighbors in social settings and encourage them to attend church with us. Summer is also a dangerous time. Many accidents happen when we are pursuing outdoor activities. Please be careful and play safe. It is also a dangerous time in other ways. It is easy to skip church a lot during the summer. After all, we have to cram a lot of living in during the summer season. Over the years I have seen many families who spend the summer engaged in fun and not attend church very often and then not return to church when all the summer fun is over. Church attendance is often habitual and when the habit is broken, it is hard to start again. Looking forward to spending the summer with you and your family worshipping and working in the Kingdom of God. Let’s go get our neighbors engaged in church. Summer is a great time. You may have heard summer referred to as, “the lazy days of summer”. I think in most of

our lives that is an untrue statement. We try to cram a lot of living in the so called “lazy days”.

Sometimes it is more daze than days. Summer is a busy time in the life of the church as well.

with camps, mission projects, VBS and other events. It takes a lot of energy to be engaged in the

summer activities with our children such as camping, fishing, skiing and other things.

Summer is a great time to get to know your neighbors. During most of the year you have to get past the

front door to make a visit to invite someone to church. In the summer, you will find them in the yard or other

outdoor places more than any other time of the year. It is a natural event for neighbors to chat in the yard by

the mail box. All of us need to seek opportunities to engage our neighbors in social settings and encourage

them to attend church with us.

Summer is also a dangerous time. Many accidents happen when we are pursuing outdoor activities. Please

be careful and play safe. It is also a dangerous time in other ways. It is easy to skip church a lot during the

summer. After all, we have to cram a lot of living in during the summer season. Over the years I have seen

many families who spend the summer engaged in fun and not attend church very often and then not return to

church when all the summer fun is over. Church attendance is often habitual and when the habit is broken, it is

hard to start again.

Looking forward to spending the summer with you and your family worshipping and working in the

Kingdom of God. Let’s go get our neighbors engaged in church. Summer is a great time. Edgar

EUBC CHILDREN”S CORNER

EUCC is rolling into all the activities of summer!!!! The weather is great which means lots of outdoor time. We do have heat guidelines to

follow. It’s great right now, though. Many of our children are looking forward to VBS. We’ve had several sign up. We have many tender and loving hearts in our summer program. It would be wonderful if they would all come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Many of us adults were children when we made this decision and no matter what happens in life, you never forget the day you accepted Jesus. Our theme this month is about Father’s Day and the prodigal son. Preschoolers tend to have a natural love and respect for their fathers. This month is a celebration aimed at saying, “Thank you!” to the men who love and care for you. Father’s Day has become a day to not only honor your father but all male figures who take time to love and care. This includes uncles, grand-fathers, and stepfathers.

Theme for June: The lost son.

Memory Verse: “The Father ran to him, hugged and kissed him.” Luke 15:20

Happy Father’s Day!!

In Christian Love,

Ms. Sandra

The blessing of Children!

“Train up a child in the way he or she should go and when they are old, they will not

depart.” Proverbs 22:6 A child is a special gift from God.

He or she has been given a unique personality and abili-ties. As parents, we must pay attention to the individuality of our children and help them find their place in God’s King-dom. We are mandated by scripture to model God’s love, mercy, and grace and help our children learn to function in this crazy mixed up world.

How are you as a parent? Are you living a life that speaks the words of Love every day?

Publishing deadlines: If you have information to put in the Vineyard (bulletin), the office must receive the in-formation by Wednesday afternoon. If you have informa-tion to put in the Grapevine, the office must receive the information on or before the 20th of the month.
