E100 Bible Reading Plan

OLD TESTAMENT 2014

This booklet lists the bible readings we will be covering each week in our Old Testament E100 Bible Reading plan.

Each week there will be opportunities to reflect and consider the readings we’ve covered. These will include:-

Home groups (Please see the notice board or speak with Andrew or Sally if you aren’t in a home group but would like to be)

Sunday service (where appropriate), the Sunday service will be based on one or more of the readings covered that week.

Facebook Group, we have a group to discuss the readings as we go through them Face to face chat when we get together, let’s encourage each other to keep up the readings. Personal time, you can use the materials available if they help or just spend quiet time with God while you

read the passages.

If you only have time for one reading in a week, focus on the one in bold.

If you have any questions about anything raised by the readings that you don’t want to bring up at a home group or on facebook, please feel free to approach any of the Elders who would be more than happy to discuss and or pray with you.

If you don’t have time to read or really don’t like reading consider using the podcast and listen while you drive to work or make tea.

How to read the Bible:

If you aren’t used to reading the bible we suggest that you

Find a quiet time (in so far as modern life allows) Spend a few moments in prayer before you begin, maybe ask God to reveal something of himself through his

word Read quite slowly to give the words a chance to sink in Use the guide book or other resources to help you if you have a copy.
