Art Hotels is a chain of Boutique Hotels in Ecuador, that focuses on the cultural experience of tourists through local involvement and art.

This way a relationship is created between visitors and locals, fostering the experience between them.

The main characteristics of this Company are the following:

• Hotels are developed in iconic locations in Ecuador´s most important cities. • Each property will be no more than 30 rooms, to maintain the Boutique experience. • High quality accommodations and personalized service, equivalent to a 5 star hotel. • Art demonstrations will be presented to promote cultural interactions with guests and local artists.

Art Hotels Ecuador was born from the desire to restore, preserve and share a handful of historically significant properties throughout Ecuador.

Fiercely proud of their Ecuadorian heritage, the property owners imagined the revival of these former homes as luxury hotels through which international and national travelers can connect, experience, and learn about the distinctive features of Ecuador’s culture.

Across the republic, historic restorations began in 2015.The flagship property - Hotel Mama Cuchara - opened in the capital city, Quito, at the end of 2017. 2018 saw the inauguration of Hotel Otavalo, the only luxury hotel in the city zfamous for the largest artisanal market in South America. In Cuenca, Hotel Cruz del Vado will be welcoming its first guests in May 2019. Currently a new development is underway in Guayaquil and future projections include the Galápagos Islands.

Located in the Historical Downtown of the political capital city of Quito, Hotel Mama Cuchara embodies the revival of a Spanish-colonial house into a luxurious boutique hotel with all the comforts and elegance of 5 star accommodations.

Hotel Mama Cuchara is a rated UNESCO building within the UNESCO World Heritage historic center. Its ideal location is at walkable distance from many of the city’s most popular historical sites.

Otavalo, best known for “Los Ponchos” market, is a must see destination in Ecuador since it hosts the largest Andean fair of artisanal handicrafts and textiles in all of South America. Hotel Otavalo is one of the oldest buildings within the city.

Recently refurbished, the history of the city is showcased through the building materials used for its construction more than a century ago, the hotel creates the sensation of living in a castle within the city.

Located in the Historical Downtown of the cultural capital of Ecuador, Cuenca. Hotel Cruz del Vado takes us into one of the most important colonial houses of this city. Its pink marble façade is an example of the luxurious lifestyle enjoyed in the republican era.

Located near La Cruz del Vado, hence its name, the hotel is in the oldest neighborhood of beautiful Cuenca which also carries the Cultural Heritage of Humanity title by UNESCO.

Located In the economic capital of Ecuador, Guayaquil, this brand new hotel is located on the famous street Numa Pompillo Llona. The design of its exterior mimics the unique colonial style the street is known for, of vibrant colors with a romantic air. Its interiors feature elegant architecture fusing new tendencies of art with a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Due to its privileged location along the Guayas River and within the emblematic tourist area of Guayaquil - Las Peñas - the hotel is afforded the opportunity to construct a small dock and offer boat trips and water activities in the river, making this property all the more attractive.
